The set on ebay look interesting but I wonder where you would ever find the 4th wheel. Still also they dont look like exactly the same style wheel.

Hi I am wondering if any one knows what the wheels are on the car in the attached photo? I am thinking they are older wheels from HRE but I am not sure and have no idea of the model. Thanks for the help.

Well what I thought was going to be a simple replacing of the old R200 turned out to be replacing an R180. Luckely I have some 280z parts cars. Got it all back together today and found the car had upgraded brake hoses to stainless steal. That was a nice bonus:)

Well I picked up the entire rear suspension out from under a late 81 zx. So with that and what I have on the car already I should be able to make it all work. I will be so glad the whine is gone out of the rear end. Also like most diff the new one is a little greasy. Should a check any seals etc on it while its out?

panovisa Thats interesting I am deciding on the comfort vs weight thing now. Still trying to make up my mind on how to go. I am not sure what will make the most usefull and fun car.

Just curios what theme or overall design or what ever you prefer to call it for your cars are. For example mine is going to be a 60s sports car theme generaly. Or you could go for the boy racer look with lots of vents and ducts etc, or classic stock sports car look, or drag car look etc just curios to see what people have planned.

I think your right TomoHawk some kind of part aluminum part leather or fabric door panel would be the way to go.

Thanks for the tip on Lexol I will check it out some more. I have been doing some research and http://www.leatherique.com/ seems to have the best reviews even over Lexol so far but I will check into it some more. As soon as I have my differential and gas tank back on then I will try and get the seats installed and post some pics. Looks like its going to be snug fit.

I picked up a pair of of black leather RX7 seats today at the wrecking yard I believe from about an 89 model. The price was $25 each and they are not in bad shape no large tares or holes etc. All the need is a little tender loving care. Has any one used these seats before? Also any one know of a good place to order leather dye and oils etc? Will try to get pics up soon if any one is interested.

From what I have read on the forum I am am thinking that the 72 and 73 bumpers are the same but that the mounts for the front bumper put it out from the body of the are a couple of inches. But I am not sure.

I am wanting the close fit 240z look on my early 260z. My bumpers are a little wider so I am looking for 240z bumpers. My question is on the 73 240z bumpers are they the close fit ones. I am trying to make a deal with someone about 4 hours away so I want to make sure before I drive to get them. Thanks for the help.

Any one ever made aluminum door panels for there z? I noticed that a 1969 Ferrari Daytana Race car had aluminum door panels and I started thinking that it could be interesting to do to my 260z. You could make the panel by tracing the original door panel and also us it for the template for the correct placement of holes for the window crank etc.

Hi I have an early 260z that someone had put 3.90 gears in. Any way they redid the R200 and did not shim it correctly so it whines and makes you want to pull your hair out. Any way I found an 82 280zx 2+2 with a manual transmission that should have 3.90 gears also I think. The question is should try and fix the diff in the car that has been running for years without being shimmed correctly or should I buy the 3.90 diff out of the 280zx. Also if I get the diff out of the 280zx are there anythings I need to change or will it bolt directly in?

Good question I have a set also and am also curios about worth so I know what to sell them for or trade value.

To me it looks like 260z bumpers also as they have the shocks on them just like my car. I thought the early 240s had solid mounts. But then again I am far from an expert:)

Well what about general guide lines. Say a perfect set is worth X, an average set is worth Y etc. I really just dont have any idea except I think on ebay a new old stock front bumper went for about $260 but I dont know if that was a high price or an average price etc for a perfect bumper.

Hi I am looking at getting a set of early 260z bumpers to put on my 240z. Both sets I am looking at I am going to have to make an offer on and I dont know what they are supposed to be worth. Both sets seem to have good crome and only minor dents and scratches.
