Spindle trouble
Hey guess what guys, just talked to local Z doctor to try to get some other parts and he said the same thing, they don't replace the outer bushings. They will replace the inboard bushings and call it a day. Well I guess I am either "The Man" or I'm a dumb@@#$. It always comes down to "Well I got it down this far, why not ......". Hope tomorrow is warm so I can paint those control arms!!

Hey Steven, its too cold for golf and now it means I will have to rig some sort of "booth" in the garage to do any painting!!!! If its not one thing its another. Yeah, Jared we don't have snow, but we did have 75 degree weather until a week ago. Damn!!! Y'all have a good one, ya hear

Spindle trouble
Hey, agreed, spindle pin puller is great!!! Wanted it out today and was surprised by the efffortless removal of the one pin. Don't mean to side step the great spindle pin puller, just spent 15'$ and its out!! Thought that was good. If I had time, would have ordered that puller. Now I am ready to reinstall. Thats all. Thanks Marty and the other guys who gave great advice PS, the frozen pin froze one the inner bushing race of the outer bushing(does that make sense?) Came out with the pin.

wheels and tires?
Donovan My neighbor just got the rewinds in 15. Put a Dunlop 215/50-15 tire on them. They look great!! He hasn't joined site yet but will try to get some pics. Some have said that the combo will rub if you use lowering springs, I don't think so but not sure. Some others like them too, he just won best in class at Durham, NC Z show. Have fun

1973 Pricing?
Darrel, read some threads here about the rust issues, while a quick look may not turn up anything that looks bad, you really have to dive under the car and check out the floor pans, rocker panels, wheel arches, battery area, etc. Many other areas that can cause you heartburn later. New paint will cover up some of these areas for awhile making the detective work harder. Didn't want to be a buzz killer, just give it a thorough check. All that aside, they are fun to drive and work on also. Welcome to the club!

Howdy All
Damn nice gift!!! You must be a good son in law! Have fun, that one sounds relatively easy. Check out the threads for rust, if thats no sweat, you're crusing by spring!! Enjoy. PS, put it up on jack stands, throw some carpet underneath, and you won't be found for awhile. Great place to take nap!!!

welding!
Have to agree with above, there is an attachement you can get from eastwood that will do a pretty good job on spot welds with your arc welder. You have to have special rods. The only pain is that you almost have to have a rotisserie(material likes to drip). They have a stitch welding attachment also but don't have any experience with it but it may help with the thinner panels on the Z. I did as above, Hobart mig with gas and .024 wire. Saw Corgan do good job with flux core .030 wire also

OEM color of grill on hood?
The hood grills should be the same color as the car, the rear tail light "escutheon" (sic)is another matter, I believe that Ed knows that color as he did his to stock

Flash rust?
If you treat it with metal ready that will hold off rust for while, I believe the can says about 3 weeks. I agree with Will, I have treated rust with Oxisolve(eastwood), cleaned excess with acetone, hit it with metal ready and then used self etching primer. I know that is double etching but I don't think that is a bad thing, you guys tell me if wrong. I plan to shoot anti-rust over the aforementioned primer(interior panels)

Floor Panel
If you can get floor pans from Charlie(Zedd) he will sell just one side. Get the frame rail also
