  1. Just a few of our local jewels! Not a good venue for our cars but all for a good cause. The red "57" Chevy won best overall!

New position, new office......new office chair! Built one for my grandson last year, now I have mine!
  3. I believe that I might have an old 70's catalog of two from FAR Performance. I will check and post if I can find them. jlp

  5. Rare find! I purchased this NOS air S30 air cleaner housing recently. Although I am disappointed:disappoin in the condition it is still a rare find. I wanted to put it on my 72 as part of making the late production 72 as original as possible but although NOS it was not stored well and the condition is less than expected.

Nashville is a great venue, I have lots of contacts there and although I live in Indiana I have a place 70 east of Nashville and could possibly help with the event. jlp
  7. I will check later but one should be the factory radio power supply and the other for power supply to the heat blower. I know that is what I found when working on my 72 but the 70-71 could be different.
  8. Period correct hat and hair, great touch Fred!
  9. This group just keeps growing but we do have a couple of members still in denial. Jim, you will need to make sure and not miss any of the meetings.
  10. And the group says: "Hello Dennis and Mitchell!"
  11. And the group says: "Hello Mike!"
  12. My wife finally dropped the hammer on my Z part obsession.:ogre: I believe that the final straw was the two Z radios, a Series 1 auto scan AM and a Series 2 AM FM mono. They were not working but in great condition. I could not make myself throw them out so I sent them to be rebuilt by BC Electronics in PA. My wife saw the bill when they came back from rebuild last week. OUCH! I have been give an ultimatum to either sell my 72 FJ40 project or all of my extra Z parts. I need to join to DPOA!:paranoid: Hello, my name is Jerry and I have an obsession with Datsun Z parts. I have not purchased or spent money on Z parts in 2 days. “Hello Jerry”.

Carl, I was surprised when my 72 came back from restoration with texture painted scuff plates. I started looking then and found Courtesy and all other vendors were offering the painted plates. That is where the quest began. As to the Speedo cable, in my quest for other NOS parts I came to believe that an original correct length NOS cable did not exist and at that point, need it or not, I had to see if one could be found. Kinda like those people who raid the grocery at just the suggestion that a winter storm is coming.

I did not follow that thread. These parts were found in England. There is a member in CA with a boat load of NOS parts but not this cable or scuff plates. As I said these have been the hardest parts that I have found in my quest of needed NOS parts.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping that it comes back somewhere in the mid-west in 2015. Any mid-west clubs out there?

Does anyone know where the 2015 ZCON will be held?

I just received a couple of hard to find NOS parts for my car. I don't know how many more such parts are out there but these were very hard to find. One is a NOS speed-o-cable, not the newer part number shorter one and the other is a set of NOS interior scuff plates not the newer texture painted ones but the original part with the vinyl covering.
  18. This is my racing kart taken in 1971. The Kart was a Hornet Sidewinder with a Comet K88 125CC engine running alcohol. This is my 00029 Z, I believe taken in 1978 at IRP Campaign Sprints. Note the flower shirt and bell bottoms!
  19. This picture was taken on my 20th birthday at my brothers house in Boston, IN. We had owned the Z for less than a year at that time. Good old polaroid camera!

Robert, I can not imagine what it cost to ship 63 tons across the pond! I do know that if I asked Dave he would not tell me what he pays, just not his style. Not only does he deal in military arms and has his own assault rifle , he also owns one of the largest RV sales companies in the United States. Here are a few of his "kids" out to play!

Could be, don't know much about tanks. This is just one that I found on his page going back to WWII. I will get with him and find out more about his bulge tank. I saw it his summer but as I said I don't know my tanks! He has a large pole barn, as you can see in the first picture, for his collection along with the tender/support vehicles for hauling and pulling the turrets etc... He just got a federal patent on an assault rifle that he designed.

I believe this may be the bulge tank but I am not sure. I just pulled this from his facebook page.

When I get a chance I will go over and take a photo of the bulge tank and post it for him.
