In my first post I had mentioned the that the fender did not have enough curve at the bottom. Some shops just bolt on new parts, sometimes they need to be tweaked to fit well. It just looks as if this was not done with this fender. The bottom should be easy to reshape it just needs a little tweak. jlp

I will restate the obvious, you get what you pay for. First NOS parts are limited and it is only fair that they are priced accordingly. Secondly good reproduction parts are worth their weight due to the fact they are being produced for a very limited market. JLP
  3. Torch tip cleaning set. JLP
  4. You can't beat the original two factory manuals: One being Body and Chassis and the other Engine. JLP
  5. I have not been in touch with them in a long time but the company that specializes in differentials is DEWCO Industries. 765-962-7201. We also have Hawkins Speed shop which is known for complete racing builds. JLP

Nice find! Here in the rust belt we don't come across "rust free cars". jlp
  7. Rob, Setting up a ring and pinion can be tricky but doable. We have a couple of shops here in Richmond, IN which do it. jlp
  8. Check your wiring diagram and make sure you are on the correct terminal. I still believe you need to check out your distributor. jlp

From your description I still believe it to be starter, ignition or connection issue. On another note, I have lake toys, boat, jet ski, riding mower etc... I use them one month per year. I used to go through batteries every couple of years. I purchased battery cyclers for all the toys and have gotten 7 years+ of life out of all of the batteries. jlp
  10. "Z-Therapy";) I understand they offer a visual set up guide for SU's. I agree that with the removal and installation of the headers you need to set up and balance your SU's. JLP
  11. Contact Courtesy Nissan in Texas if they do not have the part they will locate it for you. You can also have a hose made if necessary. jlp http://www.courtesyparts.com

I believe it is most likely the solenoid or gear on the starter. Less likely but possibly the starter bushing not letting the starter fully engage. jlp

I just gave Todd from the Indianapolis club two original "D" caps. Chris (26th Z) is correct. The gray matched the texture (matchstick) and color of the grill and tail light panel. I am sure that Todd would be glad to post photos but that would be redundant on the site. jlp

If the body is solid you can have it pulled back to spec. if necessary. Roll cage will strengthen the chassis. JLP

I can't make sense of a car running better with one plug wire off. Your sure you don't have a tight valve on number 4? JLP

  23. Philip Thanks, I will keep this for future reference. JLP
  24. Last Friday I had the pleasure of getting to meet the Indianapolis Z Club President. It is always great to meet a kindred spirit. Todd came over to pick up some parts, which I have been trying to give away for a while. He picked up the Series 1 Engine, hood, rear hatch and right door. I can’t wait to see his finished project. jlp PS Still have the 73 engine for the taking.
