I have a set of new covers which I left with Classic Datsun Motorsports for my restoration project. Les (owner) asked permission to use my new covers to have them reproduced. I do not know if he has followed through but you might want to check with him.
  2. Classic Datsun Motorsports is located in Vista. I am sure that Les would have information on this car. JLP
  3. This is correct. I have the original installation instructions complete with diagram. I will try and scan it tomorrow and post it. JLP
  4. How about anyone in the area that is willing to do a visual check of a boat. I am considering purchase of a boat in the area and I would hate to drive over 2K miles and find that the boat is not what I am looking for. Thanks Jerry Purcell
  5. I have made an offer on a boat located in Capistrano Beach, CA. It is an 2007 Supra 22SSV Ski boat. I was planning to have the local Supra dealer check the boat out for me but they are out of business. Does anyone know of a good knowledgeable, reasonable boat mechanic in the area? Thanks Jerry
  6. Arnie, I just received an email and seller confirmed your post, he believes it is sold. I requested that he let me know one way or the other as soon as he knows. JLP
  7. I emailed the listing for more information. Is there anyone who can get eyes on to check it out further?

I had a custom exhaust built for my 72 in the early 70's. It consisted of dual pipes from the stock manifold back with a Cherrybomb one each side of the drive shaft from there the exhaust ran up and over the rear suspension and came out in the normal rear valance cut, pipe over pipe. It had an ok sound when cruising but hit a rather irritating pitch upon aggressive acceleration. It did seem to improve performance but it did not sing in a pleasant note! I did disturb the peace!
  9. Try the following source, they have 4 different products including the rubber/cork. http://www.racepages.com/products/?Ntt=Nissan+Valve+Cover+Gasket&N=11378 To make sure and get a good seal you can clean both surfaces and apply a very light coat of silicone sealer (just enough to make it shine) to both sides of the gasket. The gasket is easy to remove but forms a good seal. JLP

Thanks all, The pans are ordered and I feel comfortable knowing that Zedd Findings product comes so highly recommended. Jerry

Unless I get conflicting feedback it looks as if I will be getting the Zedd Findings pans. They look to be the same as the premium kit from MSA. Les suggested the Zedd Findings pans. As for Carl's question, I purchased a complete factory floor back in the 70's and had another shop start the restoration. When I went to see the pan installation they had cut up the floor pan and put it in, in pieces. Boy was I ever sick. I pulled the car out of that shop and let it set rather than have it restored poorly. I took the car to Les two years ago this December with the understanding that the car would be a fill in project for Les. So although he did get a quick start on the car he just got back on the project. When he stripped the floors and saw the installation, which I had warned him about, he decided that he would replace the badly installed pans. I just wish I could still get a full floor for the car. Les has found that I will need new floor pans. Can anyone recommend a good source? Has anyone used Zedd Findings floor pans? Any ideas? I am hoping to get them on the way tomorrow. Thanks JLP

:stupid:I drove 620 miles today to pick up the dash. :pirate: I avoided the shipping woes! Jerry
  17. Just a point of clarification, the NOS bumper ends shown are the extent of the “new bumpers”. I just had a conversation with the owner. The sale also includes a new set of butterscotch seat covers and the dash is not cracked according to the owner.

Busy, busy, busy! I have been very busy as I’m sure we all have been. While on my annual trek to Tennessee for the month of July I received some update photos from Les depicting the progress on my car. Progress seems to be tenuous and slow but as long as it is correct when finished the wait will have been priceless. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
