Low Mileage Series I on Ebay
A short follow up. I was high bidder again ($15,200) but did not meet the reserve. Once again I was not pushed to my max bid. If the seller has an offer of 18k he might want to jump on it! Jerry

Nice looking 71' on Ebay
Carl, don’t call me for investment advice. I sold my 68 Shelby for $1,800. in 1975 in order to keep my 72 Z car.

Low Mileage Series I on Ebay
I looked for more photos of the car but I must have deleted them at some point. I can tell you that the bottom as well as the suspension components was showing sighs of at the least surface rust. I hope the owner by saying that the bottom had been detailed does not mean that they undercoated the bottom of the car to cover the problem! Jerry

Low Mileage Series I on Ebay
I was the high bidder last time it was listed on Ebay, $14,500 was the final bid I believe, I had bid 16K but my bid was not pushed any higher. The reserve was not met. This car is in great shape but I did not then nor now think it was worth his asking price. I had Carl take a look at the listing and he agreed with my assessment. I made a higher offer than Carl thought was reasonable, “a couple of years ahead of the current market”, which insulted the seller. I had the owner send me tons of photos. I thought that this survivor would be a great car to refresh before the problems surface. I have attached Adam's reply to my offer. “I'm confused about is the fact that you "Z" guys are so organized that you COULD make the market but don't. If you want these cars to appreciate your group needs to do it. Don't sell your cars so cheep. You of all people know what it takes to restore one, so when a real original is up for sale (and it's not every day) do something about it. The fact is this is not a Corvette or a Camaro or even a Dodge Dart. The market for this car is you guys and a group of others. Once you all decide you want your cars to appreciate you'll make it happen but escalating your high dollar cars to the point where they mean something. If my car made the blogs and was discussed then you guys should keep it out of the hands of some guy who for 12 or 14K will let his 17 year old drive it to HS. In addition your expert said that "Given the area of the country it's in" what does that mean? BTW I'll let the car sit outside in the snow and rot before I sell it for 14-16K!” I had offered 16K knowing that one could easily put another 3 to 4K in the car to insure it maintains it’s current condition. That is not to say it would not be worth the 20K to someone! Jerry

240 taillite chrome strips
Approximately $45.00 each or $90.00 per set. JLP At that price, I'll have to check them out, If there work is that good, there is really no point in making reproductions, I can't get the reproductions shipped to and from a plater and properly tripple chrome plated for that doing less than 100 sets at a time. Will

Not All Sites Are Created Equil!
Thank goodness for this site and the knowledge and maturity within! Not all sites are created equal! The Story My youngest son is getting ready to go off to college in Philadelphia. That is approximately 600 miles from our home in Indiana. So, while on vacation last month I purchased a new Honda Civic Hybrid. I figured it would be great for him or us to be able to travel to and from Philadelphia getting 50+ mpg. In driving the car around town we have been consistently getting only 30mpg which is well below the advertised 48 city mpg. This site has been of so much help I decided to find a similar site for the Hybrid. I located a site and posted my problem under technical to see if anyone had any like experience and what the problem might be. I received a reply within a few short hours, and I quote; "since u just bought the car ... take it to the dealer where u purches the car and told them "what the **** is wrong with this piece of $^!# ! it doesnt even reach 41mpg, and i drive like a old lady!"" As I said, NOT ALL SITES ARE CREATED EQUIL! Jerry

Recognize this car?
I just got home from a month of vacationing in Tennessee. Today, while driving home on I-75 North I was passed by a early Z car. I did look at the plate, was taking in the car. The car was an early Z, medium blue with a spook, no front bumper, two semi vertical white stripes (about 1 1/2" wide) on the front fenders with lettering on the rear glass, (something about a Tour). One of our members?

:nervous: It is preferred that these cars be referred to as program cars instead of the "F" word. Lets not get that debate going againLOL .

really low mileage 280 on Ebay
And the reserve is met at $14k quite a spread between the buy it now of 20K and the reserve. Would be a great deal if it stays in the 14k to 15k range. I still have questions about the wheels? jlp

Early Heater Control Panel White Lettering
Thanks Chris that is interesting. I have attached a photo of the one which brought my attention to the white lettering on the slide controls. It is from a car just under #7500, the rest of the panel details are more finished than your early examples. In fact they are in every other detail the same as later panels.

Early Heater Control Panel White Lettering
I noticed that the early heater control panel letters (OFF VENT HEAT etc...) on the slide controls are white. I know that the NOS panels all seem to have silver lettering. Does anyone know what the production story is on the white lettering as opposed to the silver lettering? Chris?

New Datsun Parts
If anyone has one hidden away, right , I am still looking. I thought I had one from this guy back in December but I guess not. I received the console intact but not the fuse panel door, extremely high on shipping bad experience! :tapemouth But that is probably a two way street! Anyway I still need to find a source for a NOS fuse panel door to complete my console. Any help out there? JLP

Need a Connector
If you don't have any luck elsewhere you could try Precision Wire Products in Hagerstown, Indiana. They have helped me out on a couple of replacement connectors. They build wiring harnesses and lots the connectors are standard. JLP
