I was hoping to avoid any spacers or the like in the wheel hub. There just seems to be something odd about having spacers and wheels bearings 'working' together.

Oh yes, the front is what I meant. Sorry about any confusion. That is the idea precisely. Use a commodore hub on the z car stub axle. Pending if the stub axles are similarly designed. Cheers

Hello all, I have been told that the stub axle on a 240-260z car upright is the same size and design etc as the Australian made Commodore. Is this true? I know that the upright design is different etc I am just talking about the stub axles themselves. Thanks for your time guys
