Visiting Austin, Texas 19-27 March
I don't know what's happened to that website, but it's been down for a while now. Hopefully the weather will be as nice as it was this past weekend, there's lots to see and do around here.

ANOTHER Turn Signal Issue
What's the best tool to get to test the wires and the best place to find one? (I know, that's a dumb question)

ANOTHER Turn Signal Issue
I searched the forums but haven't found an issue like I'm having. I'm in the process of getting my newly acquired Z ready for the state inspection and after I thought it was all ready to go, I'm now stumped. Initially, all switches and lights worked but the horn wasn't working. After checking the fuses and making sure they were OK, I looked around the area by the grille where the horns are and noticed that one of the wires was not connected to the tab on one of the horns. I connected the wire and the horn started working (albeit very weakly). Problem now is that only the turn signals are not working. Every other electrical system seems to be functioning OK but no part of the turn signals work (no noise, no dash indicator lights, no signals). I have replaced the t.s. fuse but that didn't work. I even disconnected the horn, but that didn't work either. Where do I go from here?? Mike

Polishing 280zx 6-Spoke Wheels
Yep those are the ones. I've never heard of using coarse grit sandpaper to polish aluminum though :surprised

Polishing 280zx 6-Spoke Wheels
Just picked up some 280zx 6 spokes that are in dire need of cleaning and polishing. They are extremely dull right now. Couple of questions: 1) Are these aluminum wheels? 2) What's the best way to polish them up to get them looking like new? Thanks, Mike

Body side trim molding
The car will be painted somewhere down the road. The Arizona sun did a number on the original paint. I just haven't decided whether to do the original brown or change to a different, "sportier" 72 240z color. I'm just beginning to think about the different possiblities and directions I could go. I don't know if I'll ever really decide. :classic:

Body side trim molding
Not sure if that's the technical term or not but my Z has this metal trim running the length of the car (see pic). Haven't seen many Z's with this and was wondering if this was a dealer option or not. If it was not a dealer option, I'll likely want to remove them. Has anyone done this? Are there holes behind the trim from the installation?

Yes the spoiler definitely has to go.

What size wheels are these?
Not sure if anyone can tell just by looking at this pic but are these 15 or 16 inch wheels? I found this pic on the web and I really like the setup of this Z. I actually have this pic as my desktop background. I believe it's in Taiwan and I assume they are gunmetal grey Panasports???

Original owner kept the owner's manuals, warranty booklet and even the dealer's business card. They look brand new!
