I've always wished this site had a chat room, but there are never enough people in here at one time to chat with.I have a 72 240 that a friend left me when he died.It needs some work,,,,,,,for instance,I think I'm gonna need a new rear hatch back,as the one on this one is pretty rusted out.Where in the world do I find something like that?
that is a beautiful Z!!! I'm planning on painting mine black as that was the color of the one I had in 77. Mine's got chrome sidepipes on it (just like my last one),,,Man,,you talk about people looking when you go thru an intersection.!Anyway,I love the job you've done. You should be proud.
my 72-240 has to be painted and may need u-joints and wheel bearings; also probably some electrical work. This car means very much to me as it came from a dear freind who is gone now.My question is,how much do I spend on this deal before I've spent more than it's worth? What is a Z car like this worth?Anyone with an educated guess?
yea, the're connected...sidepipes make a z act kinda like a pitbull,,,,it sounds like your riding in a small plane..curving country roads are a wonderful thing to go down,,those pipes rack everytime you decelerate.
I just had an old friend pass away from cancer. He served in Vietnam and was retired from the Monroe La. fire dept.In 78 I traded him a 69 camero for a 72-240Z.When he passed away,he left me another 72-240,,,,,just like the old one,,,,complete with sidepipes..It's been in storage for 3 years and I'm having a little trouble getting it started but I can't wait to hear it roar!Sidepipes really give em an attitude.Makes em look like something Hot Wheels would come up with too..I'll send a pic when I can.
