  1. No....correction "pardner" we live in God's country and what are we supposed to get used to? We're to busy trying to undo and or live with some of the screwy laws and regs that are in existence because of "the land of the fruits and nuts"...Dude. I would be more inclined to carry my .44 for the varmints that our "Great Country" has wanting to change more than our headlight standards. "Dude"....I am truly not trying to start a flame war here... but as a Texan who loves my country your vain attempt at being funny and informative only came across demeaning and grandiose. True to my statement of not wanting a flame war ...I will not comment any further on this thread:classic:

OK... so I get it for $4500 and spend another $5-6K on a great refresh job and I decde to sell it for my break even cost of 10K. Is that reasonable to expect?

Enrique... I concur completely with your referenced statements. In addition the ebay car can be adjusted easily for less than 2K to satisfy the more purist of us Z lovers. Another aspect I find interesting about these type threads and this one is headed in the same direction is the insistence of some who own Z's and typically have zero interest in buying the subject car insist on devaluing the car as much as possible. Please let me be clear here I am not referring to rust buckets but cars that have had thousands and in some cases tens of thousands spent to restore. One conclusion I have come to is the "appraisal critiques" most likely have not done a restoration project of any depth and just don't know. In which case it would be my preference that those who fit in that category refrain from devaluing the cars we own and hope to have increase in value. Just my opinion and something to think about.

Welcome to the forum and for sure welcome Home. Thank you very much for your service to our country...glad you made it back safe and sound. If it is the 280ZX you like those are fun cars and a lot can be done with them. You should have a fair amount of good ones to choose from in Florida.

Hey guys... here is an alternative that worked for me. I took Fat Mat the foil backed sound deadening material and applied it on the backside of the interior panels. It worked perfect for strengthening the panel and repairing the weakened areas around the holes where the clips fit. Plus it helped with noise and heat.
