Here's the pics I promised. I know it's kinda hard cause you can't see the last bit of hose that connects to the tank but it's the best I could do without removing the tank In the first pic you can't see it but where it (the lower hose that doesn't have webbing) makes that first 90° bend towards the center of the car through the hole there's another 90° hose barb there as well. This might just be a good thread for me. I've always used regular rattle cans but shortly I'll be picking up a LPHV (low pressure high volume) gravity fed spray gun so I can do a better job :devious:. Thing is I've never in my life used an actual spray gun...I know how to paint extremely well with a rattle can and with pure glossy non-metallic colors I can make it look like a factory paint job, I've come to learn recently I hate metallics though my work looks like crap cause it seems to mist more and I get overspray dried particles that find my nice and glossy parts and kill them but the whole gun thing will be foreign territory for me. You guys have any pointers as far as what kind of paints require what type of thinners/hardeners etc. ?? Perhaps all of them use regular paint thinner ?? Anyway a brief rundown would be cool. :classic: :pirate:

I thought they didn't switch to pointless distributors until the 280zx I thought the 280z still had a point distributor ?? I always here the "you gotta get a zx distributor and say goodbuy to points" I never hear of regular z distributors having no points.

HA! For some reason everyone I've met and actualy talked to knows exactly what a Datsun Z is... However there have been many times my car has been called a Porsche by random people and even one time it was thought to be "That green Mustang over there" HAHAHAHAHA!!! That chick musta left her glasses at home and was blind without them to give a comment like that hehehe!! :stupid:

I'll tell you what I give mad props to anyone able to completely remove that large hose that had more benz in it than a Mercedes lot in one piece . I literaly had to cut mine out in sections.....and I damn sure knew I wasn't going to get a regular fuel line to make those kinda bends without getting a kink in it somewhere. So I lined all my cut sections of hose up and measured them and then took a trip down to West Marine and bought fuel line and half a dozen or so 90° plastic hose barbs :devious:, being of marine grade they're resistant to gasoline. I dunno about you other folks but that sure made my life alot easier putting a new hose back in

Uhmm sounds exactly like when my points started going. Check your point gaps in the distributor. I would make sure those are properly gapped before screwing with the timing or dwell any. Hope that helps. P.S. If that doesn't do it for you check your cap/rotor, coil, plug wires and or spark plugs.

That only works as a locator if it's running though at the time.. :laugh:

I haven't added it all up yet but between my last Z that got stolen and my current replacement that I'm still working on I'm just guessing between 2K and 4K may be more may be slightly less. I do most of my own work so it cuts the cost down alot and I didn't figure in labor if I was to pay for it or it'd be way over 4K :paranoid: I've spent many overnighters getting it to the condition it is now...and I'm still not even close! :devious: :stupid:

Yeah they do (if you mean the one below?) and I was thinking if I couldn't get this one then I get thiers cause it was close like you said. Seems to me if no one made one like on that hybrid someone would've caught on to that fact and made one. I just really like that design and with the fog light slots more rectangle than round I wouldn't have to change my lighting plan :disappoin. With round ones I either have to hope the ones MSA sells are just as bright as the "Hella 550 Fogs" or find another with similar brightness. I already have a set of the Hella 550 driving lamps currently custom mounted in the stock grill of my 240 and was going to get the fogs to complement them however it's a rectangle light design not a round one so if I got the kit below I could mount the driving lights in the center just as on that hybrid airdam but the fogs obviously can't be rectangular unless I cut it and I don't think it'd look too good cut.. LOL P.S. Dreco...someone over at got-z was askin where you dissappeared to I guess I can say you dissappeared over to here huh ?? I don't remember who it was though!!

First off my name's Mike and I'm from Camarillo, CA. I spend most of my time over at got-z.com but I've asked this question there and have gotten no where so I figured I'd come to the source or at least hopefully that's where I'm at cause the picture you see below says so :cheeky: Anyway I'm trying like mad to find the front airdam used on this hybrid 240z/240sx and not having any luck. Does anyone here happen to know where I can get it ?? I'm not interested in the whole kit I have a 72 240z to put the front airdam on IF I can find it..haha .
