You may have to rotate the cam cw or ccw a degree to help with alignment of the sprocket with the cam nose.

Yeah I hear you. It looks easy in the pics but assembling, sliding it all together, greasing, working in the grease, and fitting the rubber boot all at one time is a fun task. Glad to save you some agro.

I think so... maybe "Stonehenge" Midnight Blue (here) as a tribute to the man. I am also thinking "Blue" will become "whitey" and migrate to track-only duties in Japanese racing attire....I have a g-nose waiting and Team Zero calling. It will be a fun year.

I would not drive it in San Francisco or near a Mary Kaye convention but other than that, it is safe on any street... it is just a stock 280z with nice big wheels and flares. So sad about the stink. It needs to be gutted.

If you have enough pressure and flow from the pump then enlarge the orifice in the tip of the return line on the fuel rail to get more "cooling effect" (heat extraction) from the fuel that only passes through the rail and back to the tank.

Check to see if the fuse box to dash wiring harness connector has come loose. It is right under the radio at the front of the centre console. It is white rectangular nylon-ish connector with 6 connections

I have one question about the priming with the electric drill: Isn't the spindle gear connected to the crank via a worm gear and woodruff key? So to spin from above,you have to drop the pump to pull the spindle gear out?
