https://www.google.ca/search?q=site:classiczcars.com+rot&newwindow=1&espv=210&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HRlvUovNC8-r4APHz4DIAw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=930&bih=466 first they remove the "+" operator from searches then they kill the 10,20,30,40, 50, 100 search result returns per page (but keep the non-functioning slider) then they get rid of the compact one click links to news searches and other tools by nesting on the 2nd page of a huge icon grid then they turn up the local advertising in the hits as responses to searches now they put crap in the top of explicit image searches as if I am a stupid idiot,,,, if I wanted to search for rottweiler or roti food I would search for it...where the hell do these moron coders come from?

Small size and low weight plus LS is a great racing combo.

Bad Dog subrframe rails
All the BD rails I have seen are weld over's. The owner, John Jeffrey, is a racer so they are designed for function first.

[2013] What did you do to/with your Z today?
Forgot to mention I also found the missing BBS RS rim from my IMSA . Also a good buddy helping sort has a NOS vintage Fairlady Z mesh grill that goes back to Japan and early 70's. It was a good day!

Picked up a cool tool for $13
Cool! I read about DARPA Net. You were there in the beginning...I am in awe!!!! I guess you see the same de-evolution as I do...at first I thought it was grumpy old man syndrome but when when you compare the thought and linguistic skills of "man on the street" TV interviews in the 50's and 60's to now, there is a considerable change. I am 10-15 years behind you....I was first connected to the net in '88 through the local university but I used a lot of old HP and DEC computers in my first job that go back to the mid to late 70's. My first computing experience was PET and TRS's in 78-ish.

It is the same in Windows...I have been computing since the 70's and a lot of the fast short cuts that were evolved and put in Windows (from TOS, RDOS and DOS as well has from earlier versions of Windows) are now tossed by crappy programmers who are too thick to even know they existed let alone know what they did. It is like Windows is revised for dumb people by dumb people... another sore point is Google: It recently has been revised to give forced hits based on my location and local paid advertising....it used to be a great reference but now the first few pages are usually filled with retailer's junk. I was able to block it for a few moths but they have improved their methods this week. It is like going to the library and asking for a book on boats but they give you a pamphlet on boat cruises from your area. Sadly the world is not evolving and the MBA, sales, marketing, crooks, and drop outs have taken over this thing called the internet. I hope they can soon partition it into separate domains so that it is better organized.... wouldn't an all automobile related domain be cool to search ! End rant....

Yes Carl. The thin rod can be seen on the leg of the tool. It detaches and connects to the middle sliding part. It is plastic so you can "whittle it down" or insert a metal thin rod. Measurements were repeatable when I opened the box and raised it and lowered it 5 times on the kitchen table after nulling it to 0.0mm It reads mm, inchs and fractions (when you are at exactly 1/16, 1/32, 1-23/64 etc.). When off a fraction it reads the decimal inches.

Series 1 '71 blue on blue automatic - purist debate
From looking at VINS and colours, it looks like they made contiguous blocks of the same colour. Seems logical for large scale production too.

Your ideas/input requested for planning a garage
Chris, yes it is officially a shed My wife and I debate this all the time. the plan is to put a garage on the house but I have to wait on that so the "shed" is a short term solution. Mitchel, no idea about the floors yet. Any suggestions? Just focusing on the walls and ceiling. I still have to run wiring and insulate (6" studs so it will be warm. It has in-floor radiant pipes so I plan to put in an on-demand propane system but I have a vacuum tube solar water heater that will go nicely on the roof. It will work best with a tank so I may need to couple with the on-demand system. I am also going to look at a low voltage DC lighting system with solar panels charging the system. I'll also wire in conventional lighting too. Any input is welcome. Thanks AJ I live in 'the woods" so it is easy to build amongst mature trees. The soil here has a lot of granite boulders due to the geology (in geek speak I am on the margin of the meguma group and the south mountain batholith) so we have to deal with these beasties. I still have to move the boulder that is up above the others and there is a big one just in behind the cluster that needs to be buried. The nice thing is that the photo is a "wife's eye view" so I can hide my cars behind the shed btw the door faces north so no hot summer heat like I had in my NJ apartment garage (btw did you get that plating issue sorted where we guessed it was from the NJ heat?).

Nearly ready to move in! Just need a final inspection, rain gutter, and more grubbing, drains and crushed stone.
