  1. Note: the nissan FSm states 23mm down from the roof of the fuel bowl, not the margin so the new height will be 19.6mm down from the margin for a '72 (We measured ~3.4mm from the roof to the margin on a 72 fuel bowl lid.

  3. Hardway and I measured the height of the fuel bowl roof from the gasket surface, I think it was 3.4mm so the 23mm down from the edge of the fuel bowl becomes 19.6mm down. We set the fuel level for this and the jets had to be set a little higher to optimize.

  5. Are the jets sticking due to the chokes? The cable and grunge can cause problems. Separate the choke lever from the jet, disconnect the fuel line to the jet, then pull out from the bottom of the carb and clean the jet and orifice where it slides up and down. Here is a recent clean from an Austin Z

  8. Thanks for the kind words Jeff. I had a fun filled visit to Texas and it looks like I'll be back in a a couple of weeks. You and Mike are part of a great club. It was a pleasure to finally meet both of you and especially to hang out with your club at the Nissan Dealership show. I'm glad we had time to go through your carbs and look forward to the next time.... suspension right? I sure makes travelling much more enjoyable to meet Z enthusiasts, turn wrenches, and drive these cars.
