Yeah 50% goes to federal and provincial tax here then 15% sales tax and ~$2.5k/year property tax.

    Yikes... Harper is not Canadian.
  6. I am wondering if an extra wrap of a coil or two at the inductive tap on the back of a 240z tach will make it work with the ZX distributor?
  7. Has anyone tried these on a track car? Are the spring rates and damping suitable for the track?

It won't hurt to try. Install the transplanted towers in order with the bolts only snug. Install the cam and rotate it while you tighten the cam bolts. It should turn freely. Oil the cam or use rebuild grease on its bearings when inserting.

I lived in Ireland, NJ, and now I am back in Canada. The inflated costs I experienced in dense areas is sickening. What I can easily enjoy here, I never would be able to do in Ireland or NYC area without a 10X multiplier to my pay. I actually and truly feel "freedom" here after these experiences. I guess the poor folks who spend their whole lives in inflated areas never have the opportunity to experience how tough they actually have it. However, there are areas in Canada that are subjected to crazy inflated prices (Vancouver, Calgary,Toronto) and there are places in the USA that are very reasonable such as Dallas, Texas. A lower income in a lower cost of living area can outweigh a higher salary in a high cost of living area. Live Free or Try!

  17. I think the oil hole on the drilled cam just leads the rising side of the lobe so it seems more logical as this is the high pressure rolling side (especially if the cam lobe is asymmetrical) , however it seems that the drilled cam will also fling oil all over the inside of the valve cover too (wasteful). Maybe moving the oil bar to the other side of the cam will null the effects of low-Zinc oil on it? (i.e. quantity vs. quality).
  18. OT I just used three of these plastic screw caps/covers on the visible screws in the console and it looks tidy and the bottom part acts as a washer on the brittle fibreglass. Available at Ace Hardware's parts bins and come in a few different sizes and colours. I also used them on the screws on the long plastic deck edge trim just behind the seats Others:
  19. I always wondered why the oil bar was not on the other side of the cam so that less oil would be slung off the top as the lobe rotated? It seems to do the job OK but oiling at a point just before the cam and rocker start pressing would seem to be a better location to me. Maybe the stock location is supposed to be more of a rocker and cam oiler than a cam oiler?

Cool wife! Please post all pics you can. Details of cable routing, parts colours, stickers, etc. are valuable to all who restore...take the underside of your bonnet/hood for example. btw here is my boss ready to rope the window http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachments/48359d1317607771-window.jpg
