  1. Here is the other distributor. The part number D614-52 is correct for an early 240z but the dual points seems off? Is this possibly a part for a Nov 69?
  2. 249 came with a ZX distributor fitted. Two spares were in the parts boxes. Here is one with no numbers engraved. Any ideas as to who made it or part number?
  3. I needed an Alternator for 249 and found this in my parts heap:
  4. HS30-H has educated us all on this and has made it clear. I am in agreement with both of you on this.
  5. Never mind... found one in the parts bin. Lucky day!

  9. Nice to see that Brick!
  10. Should I send it to 240zrubber to reproduce?
  11. Thanks 26th! I corrected the references to prototype earlier. My understanding was that some parts were not produced in time so they used parts from other sources that were used on the early production models not meant for release to the public. The plastic fuel filler knob being one. Jim here is the plastic cover for the battery... maybe that rubber flappy part is an early version?

  13. Thanks! You are right: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-W116-Apoyabrazos-Respirador-recortar-agujero-de-relleno-/222033900375?_ul=BO Armrest breather... must be for big sweaty arms.
  14. Could this be for a non-240z? The spare hold down plate on the car has rubber trim and a round piece as well.
  15. Tres Cool! It seems more like a seal. I thought the battery covers were hard plastic. This is like inner-tube rubber.
  16. Thanks! It is ~ 3" wide.
  17. Some rubber bits and two plastic pieces. I think one plastic piece is the missing thumb clip from the fuse box cover. The clear washer may be a part of it as well,
  18. Hi 26th, Sadly these parts are heaped in plastic bins. I'm not sure of where they came from on the car. Thanks for the other info. It is appreciated!
  19. More photos of the *very early* seat belt hook next to the later hook
  20. Strange rubber plug... no through-holes. Could be junk in the pile of parts.
