  1. Great Pic's Rich, Wish I could have been there. id give my left umm arm for that S20 motor....sigh....got any pictures of the whole vehicle?
  2. Heres a few pics i snapped off when i dropped by there today.. I had to throw this one in, My new daughter born 5-25-10 "Alexis" there are a few more pics here: http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h244/jackboxxx/ZCCIV%20CAR%20SHOW%205_30_10/
  3. Wife + Kids = my Z in the garage, and the wifes SUV in the driveway!
  4. To me its looks more like a minor hit in the front, taking into account how weak the front ends of these cars are. It wouldnt take much to cause what i see in the pics.. 10-15 mph is all.. but the frame rail is buckled, and would need a pull. the core support looks to need some work too. I hit a 85 camaro i a prior 71 Z i had, and i pushed the right frame rail several inches in...and i was barely moving. ( my right front corner hit his right front corner and he cut in front of me into a driveway...grrrr

Next we wet sand the car and buff it out to make it more glossy The fun part is going to be reassembly, watching it turn back into a complete running vehicle ( least thats the part i like the best ) Checking reflection with an old gum wrapper off the ground. Quick shot after it rolled out of the booth..

Looks like your making good progress Rich, the car is looking great so far, all day long i get "those" people who think its a walk in the park to paint a car...its not as easy as it looks.. Dont put the car off till the 24th , I wont be here that Saturday! Lance

Are you getting any hint that the car is trying to start? or is it just nothing.. that would point towards a tuning issue. how are you testing for spark? are you looking at the points as they open / close? are you pulling a spark plug wire and running a jumper and not seeing spark? and yea sometimes you can get bad new parts...( like a condensor ) i know this sounds stupid but you do have fuel in the car dont you? (you said it was sitting for years...)

Ive done both, bought the seat kit from MSA and installed it myself, and have also had an upholstry shop do the seats from the ground up. Though the MSA kits are ok, and looked pretty decent, they dont compare to having the seats done professionally, .. every seam is tight, the support is great and you can choose your exact material, or materials...but it will cost more to go this route. I attached a picture to this but it was really bright outside today and you cant really appreciate the quality of the work from the photo.. my upholstry guy re-did the black on the frame of the seat, cleaned the plastic protectors between the seat and the adjustors..rebuilt the webbing, and foam..and gave me like 10 books to look though to pick the texture i liked best..

Well to me it looks like you have most all of the defective parts replacement issues already, so If it was me I would go straight for the wiring, specifically check if you coil is getting power like it should from the Ignition when turned on. It really sounds like your not to me. if you dont have a hot at the coil with the key in the on position, you can try running a jumper from the battery just to test if the car will fire up or at least show spark when cranking..
  23. Im sure there are some members out there not on motorsports mailing list, so here is the mailer announcing the the event... Still sounds like fun to me and the other side...
