pretty sure its not the ign switch, now thinking possible shorted pickup in dizzy, isnt that the only thing that triggers spark???

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- guys looking a a 78 for this girl, unknownn how long since it has run, said it started with fuel leaks and just let it sit for a long time. Anyway this has got me a bit puzzled, when you turn the key on and crank engine wont start, very weak spark but when you let off the cranking the ign continues to fire non stop until you turn key all the way to the off position, you can even here it inside the cap buzzing!!! If you pull the cap and watch it has a strong continuos spark between coil wire tip (center electrode and one of the plug electrodes, any clues here??

behind the metal bracket where the fuseable links are or someone has done the internal reg mod! all 77's still had the ext reg!

That would be meeee!!!!!!!!! And I do have a set of trip dcoe40's and cannon mani and link that I would part with, they need rebuilt , new gaskets and things, had a small quick fire , but nothing got hurt, just a little blackend, Insurance bought me new set, of course no horns with them now!

The first set sent was defective, redline just tried the run around, but rich from msa took care of it! I would not go with webers again though!!

Might want to check the condition AND Tighness off all 4 fusable links , they can cause a similiar problem

Well after haveing the 300TT I have become bored with/not driving my 77 What kinda Tag you think I should put on it, we all know we'll never get out what we got in. Is There a commonality between the Injectors firing and the electric fuel pump I have to help Son's friend tommorrow, his fuel pump quit getting power so I jumped it out and it is fine, but at the same time it appears the injectors are not firing, have pressure but not starting, can induce starting fluid and starts right up then dies! Any thing that controls both, not sure if the ecu controls anything on the fuel pump!

According to redline weber, you cant run vac advance with (DCOE) triples, they reccomend going with unilite dizzy or similar!

didnt have a mandrel, tried needle nose but tang snaped off before it got ressesd.

is there a trick to inserting them, bought the small kit for 8mm, drill bit, tap and coils, but cant seem to get them inserted, get like one or two threads in and stops!

Well Looks like I have been bitten by the Z32 turbo bug!!!!!!!! So Was Thinking about selling the 1st gen (77). I know it is almost impossible to get out what you put in , but what have you guys seen these go for. did the internal reg mod on a 77 (Friend of son) and Screwed up!!!! made the jumper conecting 2 & 3 and 1 & 5 but here is were I was stupi, also conected 4 & 6????????????? figured it out and disconnected 4 & 6 but am blowing volt gauge fuse, sometimes after awhile sometimes right away anyone got a clue what might have happened and where I need to start looking for this fix!! Thanks Also have converted to maxi fuse instead of the LInks
