as stated current heads cam is being eaten away by the roker arms, this head was free with a Z, minimum down time! is small cost to refurb the head. So the where can the casting number of this N47 be verified!!

Here is the story, got an extra head when i bought a 78 z ,supposed to be for Z, took to machine shop to go thru it and do valve job. They think it is a 80's model N47, any way to futher identify other than N47, have intension of putting it on my 77, cause the cam is trashed on it. It has no oiler tube, holes in the cam lobes, no place to plug up in the cam towers. am i screwing up by swaping it without knowing what it is, hell dont know anything else about the motor either????????

Thinking of getting the MSA Kit #2 but would much rather have urethane instead of fiberglass. Any body have a lead on where to get, like the built in bumper feature!For a 77

You dont perhaps have your center console out or some of the wires under/behind it disconnected do you??? Had the the same issues, got the wiring diagram, blew it up REALLY big, put the console in and BAM!!! the circuit runs thru some of those wires and switches!!

correct me if I'm wrong but the plastic air tube that connects to the end of the filter box just extends it and DOES END UP PULLING HOT AIR FROM THE ENGINE BAY. Dont know if they are available or not, but should be lots of used ones aroun with the peeps converting to the CIA.
