stoker conversion
i think if you try to order stroker kot you will discover they can not source the crankshaft - appears to be a long term supply problem. I know of 2 people who have attempted to order in the last 6 months. Good luck!

just wanted to see how old everyone is here?
41 and counting - they tell me "you are only as old as the woman you feel" - shame my wife is 10months older than me!!

engine oil selection
old technology engines generally don't always suit modern synthetic oils. In Australia (Brisbane) I chose an oil for L series engines in the 20-50w range and no problem (Penrite HPR30). I have friends who race (club sprints/tarmac rallies) with mobil 1 10-40w synthetic and again no problems. My personal conclusion is buy good quality oil & change oil & filter regularly. Mineral/semi-synthetic/full synthetic is purely a matter of personal choice/budget/experience. If you are paying under AUD$30 for 5 litres - spend the extra money.

Series I metal fan - how bad is it really?
we had a club member spend $1500 on repairing chassis rails/bonnet etc as a result of metal fan failing on a club run. The thing turned into a 'buzz-saw" and when halfway through the chassic rail before it when up into the bonnet. Get it off quick!

RB25 240z - Australia
Brycey, I would be interested in the manufacturer of the exhaust manifold. My father has an RB30 turbo (with Motec M48) in his 1976 260Z & is in the process of a turbo upgrade (GT35). Quick reply with details would be greatly appreciated.

RB30DET bonnet issues
Can be done without too much drama. need to modify sump anyway & with modified engine mounts (read totally re-engineered) & move engine back 50mm clearances can be achieved such that the RB30ET inlet plenum can still be used & it just clears the bonnet.

A Theory - RHD HS30 Model Standard Exterior Rear View Mirror Fitment
Hi Guys, The rear view mirror posted by HLS30.com (part no.96301-E4600) looks exactly the same as one on the passenger side front fender of my mothers very original 1977 260Z 2 seater. This car also came with the metal rear sun louvre on outside of the rear hatch. The vehicle is original AUS import & I have never seen a late model AUS 260Z with a fender mounted mirror.

dash repair
Been a few years since I had my last dashboard re-done - however Dashboard restorations in Brisbane Australia were charging approx. $300-$400 AUD for exchange service or to reskin your original.
