Thanks for all the help and advice on tires, you guys are geniuses. Im gonna try and get them changed this week, hopefully they wont end up looking much different.

Would getting 225/50/15's instead of 60's likely solve the problem?

ive got 225/60/15's. Big muthas. Only the back tires are rubbing. Perhaps i shouldve gotten 50's.

Yup thats them! I knew they seemed a bit sketchy. So what do you guys thing the best way is to get me a 1/2 inch or so?

Thanks for the recommendations guys. On top of that i have to fix a bad leak in the rear window and replace the drivers side window. Too bad i cant work on it until the weekend Anyway, those twisted lugnuts are supposed to go under the spring. As you twist them in, the spring gets displaced upwards. I think its just a cheap easy way to get some vertical lift. Ill take pictures later today. Thanks again for the help guys, this forum is awesome.

You know, i havent been able to tell; i dont see any scratches on the tires. I have a feeling that its the outerlip of the well. Went to the local Z shop here and they gave me a set of used spacers. At least i think thats what theyre called...they look like twisted lugnuts.

Its best just to build your own box. I have a 71 240 and I bought a couple of Infinity Kappa 6x9's and build my own box to fit in the back and face forward. Later, i got a hand-me-down sub with a box and set the whole thing up with an amplifier (didnt even have to drill holes for wires!). The only problem is that there is no room whatsoever for storage in the back. Also, the subbox is right in front of me and the 6x9s. But that doesnt seem to make a diff in such a small car. It still sounds amazing. Ill post some pics of the setup soon.

Check out my gallery. I just posted pics of the silver 15" Rewinds I recently mounted on my red '71 240. I had a hard time deciding whether to get gunmetal but from all the attention i get now driving around with the silvers, id definitely say go silver.

Im very happy with these. Although i now have a clearance problem with the back tires rubbing the wheel wells when hitting even the smallest bumps. I guess all i have to do is find spacers?

Fixed the problem today. The dust caps were sticking out too far so i used a hammer to knock 'em in a bit and the caps finally fit. Ill post the pics soon, they look great with the new tires.
