Just wondering, bc i'm going to be buying rims soon, but what do you consider to be a heavy wheel?? weight wise?- Spring is here - time to get back at it!
Zak some great news happened to me today!!!! An old guy that restores old 30's roadsters and packards taught me how to lead today!!! I got out of classes and didn't have to work and stumbled upon this guy at a welding supply store and I ended up driveing 15 miles to his shop where he spent 3 hours teaching me and letting me try how to do it and even gave me some stuff to get started!!! I"m so happy cant wait to lead, say good buy to bondo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Spring is here - time to get back at it!
Ya I think that I might go see how much heat guns cost. I used the putty knife and wire wheel trick on the floors, tunnel and rear deck area of my Z, now just for the underside. I jus hope it comes off easily!!! I did try the dry ice method on the interior but it was kinda a pain in the arse going and buying dry ice! it wasn't that much more work for me to just putty knife it off. Did you clean it off with acetone or something after putty knifing and wire wheeling????- Spring is here - time to get back at it!
What method are you using to get the undercoating off?? I too am going to start in on my Z and get all of the under coating off and por-15 it all. I was thinking putty knife and wire wheels. any input would rock!!! THanks- Could use some help/input
Or you could just give it to me, I mean I'd have to have it cluddering up your place and collecting dust!!!!- I am 56 years of age. Photo taken Nov 2005

knuckleheads??? ouch dude- EBay Project ('F' Word) restoration car
I know it needs to come down about 3 inches!!- Which job is better???
I'm with you!!!! I'm going with filled in turn signals, vents, gas lid, and smoothed off rear with no bumper. I love the smooth look! Pewter with metalic graphite racing stripes, role cage, white faced gauges, clear front blinkers, clear head light covers, ducted front airdamn, black interior, my black airknit kirkey road racing seats, richmond six speed with old school white shifting ball , with the banks twin turbo 350 sbc, and no exhaust to speak of!! That right there is what gets me through 40-50 hour work weeks, 18 hours of college classes, oh and it also keeps me up at night thinking about when its done!!! and I wouldn't have it any other way, that is what it is all about!!!!- coolest looking spooiler, i think
Ya i love that air damn too!- Anyone have spare set of carbs? Or need another kid?
I have a pair of SU's out of my 240z that I will be selling. Can't go get pics of it for you for awhile since its 100 miles away and I'm sitting in 2 foot of snow with only a camaro to drive. but i will let you know when i can get them if you like?- 16 Yr Old and My poor Z! Opinions!!
Its nice to meet you barn. But I always thought it was Fred flintstone and Barney Rubble!!??- 16 Yr Old and My poor Z! Opinions!!
Sh*t!!! you don't know what your talking aboutLOL j/k. I've gone well over 100mph in my z and It never left ground! Plus now it has the front air damn and rear spoiler. I think I should be able to keep up with him! He will beat me off the line bc i won't be able to hook up but at a 60mph start i'm with him all the way to 200mph my friend!!! Oh and trust me a 1100hp TT 350 sbc is enough motor to get it there!!! I wish who ever did that little calculation for me last time with 400 hp could do it again for me figureing in all of the variables but this time with 1100 ponies to see the thearetical top speed. - Anyone in love with these - Actual Photo!
