I feel your pain!!! I am the same way I LOVE cars so much that I own 4 and I'm only 20.. You guys may be the only ones who actually understand what I'm saying, I seriously will not be able to sleep for about 4 days because of that 300zx, it was great, but i'm going to keep the firebird!! And i to live off of about 5bucks worth of food a week just to support my habbits, thank god for water and the free pop corn where I work!!!

thanks guys I think your right!!! I love my firebird, and Bryan your right since i first posted this, ive been looking at prices and they are way cheaper than what he wants for it. But to be totally honest, that 1990 TT would kick the $^!# out of my firbird. I'm not going to lie that thing was fast and when it built boost it was unfreaken believably fast!!! I have riden in one faster car, but that is the fastest car I have ever driven. All i can say is WOW FUN FUN FUN!!!! thanks for the advise! anymore keep it coming!

i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here guys. I today had the most fun I think i have ever had!!! I test drove a 1990 300zx twin turbo with 80,000 original miles. I fell in love, i kid you not it has been about 3 hours since i drove it and my body is still shaking!! The only way I could possibly get this car would be to trade or sell my first car i bought when i was 15 which is my 1967 firebird . I just can't do it though. PLEASE PLEASE tell me not to do this!! :stupid: just wanted to let you guys know that, was probably the coolest thing ever, corvettes have nothing on this car!!!! I envy all who own one!

I searched some stuff and it looks like in a previous discussion beandip said the engine ways 500lbs give or take. which I know I can get my v8 to darn close to that with 3 times the ponies.

I could scan some info from my JTR conversion manual that tells about somethings to save weight and the weights of other things but i'm not sure if that is legal so I guess you pm and we could "talk about it"!!!!

Do what I'm doing, I'm putting in a 350sbc v8. In the JTR conversion manual it explains things you can do to make the weight distribution the same or even lighter than the stock L28. i'm putting on alum. heads/ manifold, headers, alum. radiator, electric fans/fuelpump/waterpump, and moving the battery to the back, there are a few more but the JTR conversion is good because you can place the engine down low and closer to the firewall to get an excellent and lower center of gravity, and keep the weight distribution close to 50/50. I looked into alot of things and the L28 is nice but you can get a stock 350sbc and easily pump out 250-350hp and not pay a ton for the highperformace parts it would cost you in L28 parts. Don't get me wrong your still going to pay for the conversion and etc. but if your like me and want atleast 400hp-500hp it is way cheaper to do this with a v8.

That is good to hear that it will work out!! As far as the left lane driving, alot of people here in nebraska drive in the left passing lane bc it is alot smoother than the right lane. This makes for a pain in my arse when i'm trying to get someplace and everyone and their dog is in the way!!!

Move to Nebraska and put a massive smog producing V8 in that baby!!!

oh no def. not I wouldn't do it if i decide to get the cf hood. there are just so many choices!!!

One of the reasons I"m not going to do it for awhile is bc I will prob end up buying a cf hood also. I just didn't know how they fit etc. when you get yours let me know how it works out for you!

man and I kinda liked the stripes. It gives it that retro look and the colors say modern, just like what my z is. Thanks for the opinions anymore???

let me know how it turns out!! i am curious. I am a skeptic, and I did bull the bullshit card right away because I too thought it was just cleaning out your engine. But if it worked for the guy where my dad works, and it worked for a few of us here and if it works for you?? who knows. I haven't seen anyone of the other guys try it and come on and say it didnt' work. Like i said let me know!!! thanks

Thats what I am going to get, you can hold way way more and they can take a beating!! like i said one of my friends has the Ipod one and I have 4 other freinds with the dell jb and I know that two of the people that have those beat the hell out of them!! I work with them and when we are out doing landscapes and planting trees those guys always have them one!! and they get beat around, hit with the shovel handle, droped, sat on, the occasional punch and one guy even dropped it as we were walking back to the truck one day and as he was stepping he dropped it and his leg going out to step kicked it about 5 foot and it then skidded across the parking lot a few more feet besides being a little bunged up, it still works great, he was using it tonight at work!
