My 72 240z also shakes, but it is at higher speeds and not 30-60mph, just wondering if you think it is basically the same problem? and what to start with first. Thanks Guys

I am going to a bit dirrerent, I am going to eventualy go with a V8, role cage, put in fuel cell, brushed aluminum interior, rap around seats and 5 point harnesses. And I think paint it pewter with charcoal racing stripes and the old style racing number on the side!! number 43

I have had a problem also, on my 72 240z my car idles at like 4000 rpm way way way to fast. I know i have the shitty carbs on it (webers) but i don't know how to adjust them yet! Could this possible not even be the carbs? if you have any tips please let me know! thanks guys.

Ya your right it was straight forward. Only took like 20 mins! And i took it for about a half hour drive, it was fun. The car after sitting for about a year is starting to run better the more i drive it. For except the carbs are messed up! It idles at like 4000 most of the time and when you press on the gas to like 5000 it doesn't idle down and you can do like 40mph without pressing on the gas!! not good!! got any suggestions??!!

Any tips for replacing the water pump to save me time, before i head home?

Oh I can't wait, as soon as 6:00pm hits i'm leaving work driving home and installing a new water pump, adjusting the vavles, and removing a couple hundred more pounds of bondo, they say its going to be around 60 F tom. I can't wait!!!

Mine it was a very nice summer night about 3 miles outside of town. I had my windows down and the cop was sitting in the ditch clocking people, he said he could hear my music. He wanted to search my car, but i said no, even though i didn't have anything i shouldn't in the car, so he wrote me out a ticket!!

Well I know its stupid to drive that fast. But I love the speed, I was addicted when my dad took me for a ride out of town in his 67GTO at age 8. I can't get enough of it, I later went on to be fortunate enought to go for a ride in a turbo Z06 and we stopped at 189mph due to lack of runway. Damn it and I wanted to break 200. I am not proud of my tickets, I just thought it was kinda funny, like the comercials. And the time I got the ticket for the music up to loud, trust me it was not that loud, the cop just wanted to pull me over and see if I had anything in my car i wasn't supposed to!

Ok so i'm not even stupid, I scored a 133 on an IQ "PI" test. And I can lay rubber in any car! pretty impressive ahe?

Boat anchor or not, i didnt' pay $^!# for the car.... $450.so i dont care! I took the smog pump off because it was froze so tight i couldn't even begin to turn it, and everyone I talked to said that they are good for nothing!! Thirdly I am going to put a V8 in it eventually, I am going to college right now taking 18 hours of classes, working 40 hours a week, and at the moment I just want to get the thing running good enought to enjoy with what little time and energy i have left, the beauty of the way it handles,drives and looks! I don't have alot of money to blow on it right now, by buying " non anchor " carbs! I'm out.
