I would!!! thats what I ended up deciding. I replaced both rear fenders, quarters, rockers, floors, and front frame rails. I figured if I'm doing it i might as well do it right and not worry about it then!
  13. Bonzi you should have said something. I have a couple of gas tanks you could have gotten from me. I have a fuel cell so i no longer need any of them. And hell you only life 355 miles away.

ha ha funny this topic should come up.. On my what is now parts car I started to sand on the rear fenders and all I was getting was bondo after ALOT of sanding I got made and took the big arse die grinder to it, it turned out that the wheel arches had been totally cut out and replaced with just bondo. There was no metal at all for wheel arches just bondo on top of bondo on top of bondo. In some places there was over an inch of bondo. talk about a kick in the head!!! and the guy I bought it from said it was a solid car. LIAR!!! little did he know that car that I bought for $400, well I sold the carbs alone and got that, ha, i'm temped to call him and tell him that!!!

Crider Don't worry it can be done mark my word and I'm planning on doing it. I just got my 72' 240z back yesterday from getting all new panels, I also picked up my 350sbc. I am currently sandblasting it all and por-15ing it. sometime this month i think it is going in for the roll cage. Also this month i am installing sub frame connectors, and creating the fuel cell frame and batt. box frame in back. I also have to go pick up the R200 rear end i bought. I an eventually going to twin turbo my 350sb but for now it will get a alum. victor manifold and a demon on top. I should get 500 horsies pretty easily with that and 800-1100 with the twin turbos. Can't wait. Oh and my alum. kirkey road race seat is ready to in. So it can be done!!! and It will be but I'm going to beat you to it!!!!

i just removed my dash took me about 20 minutes. Im not keeping the heater or any of that stuff so i just ripped it out. but once I got through with taking that out it only took me like a few minutes to get the dash itself out. I took it sanded it down and used the puddy fiberglass and filled in the cracks then sanded it. looks pretty good!! I also took the console and took off all of the chrome and metal stuff off. then sanded it all. and since i'm not having any choke cable i sanded that smooth and I took off the z emblem right under the shift hole and filled that in with the fiberglass stuff and then sanded it smooth. Then i lightly sprayed it with undercoating to get a texture and then sprayed it black and it looks like brand spanken new stuff!!! I love it i'll get pics on as soon as i can!

  20. I was just wondering if any of you guys have a lid that goes over the fuse box on the console it is for a 1972 240z. I'm not talking the fuse box cover itself, but rather the little lid that is on the console. Any help would be great!!! Thanks
  21. Aussie Zed I have a question for you. is there anyway you can figure that equation you did for me before with instead of 400hp, put 600hp in it??

i bought a very small sandblaster that holds like 2lbs of sand, it cost me 55 bucks at car quest and it works like a charm!! i love it!! i'm doing my engine bay with it!! and 50lbs of sand is only $11 at car quest as well!!!
