240K GT for sale, Adelaide, South Australia
Obviously, I was wrong. I just checked Car Sensor and Yahoo Auctions and this ugly Laurel is selling for roughly $12,500. And they're not wide body flared types either. Just stockers with rims and triple webbers. Maybe there is a market after all . . . . .

usa old school nissan skyline owners
Couple of C110 Kenmeris and the rest are C10 hakosukas. Yours is the only Skyline Japan that I know of. DR30s will probably be making their way over soon, as they're getting up on the 25 year mark.

240z Dash Swap
Sell it and be done with it! He should know what he's buying and if it should fit or not. We've all bought parts that we were "certain" would fit, only to find out that we were wrong. I doubt any of us went crying back to the seller saying I screwed up, please buy all this stuff back. 0.02

SU Carbs different and not running good
My carbs have that fuel inlet fitting, but they're the smaller 38mm Hitachis made for the 2.0L L20. Since they're pretty rare carbs in America, I'd guess British car float bowl too. It shouldn't be a 38mm carb because the intake mount is square with 4 bolts; 38mms are diamond with only two.

What are you searching? The results are determined by the input. And typing in different words produce different results. "Gnose" may not produce any results, but "G nose" might. Posting on the Z side may help you too, since this is the 240K side.

240K GT for sale, Adelaide, South Australia
Matt, No, that car's the object of someone's desire to make money off RHD starved Americans. The guy in Japan who had it probably sold it to a car dealer who then took it to the auction house. He didn't lose interest, he just got interested in something else. I'd bet he only got 3-4 thousand frrom the dealer. The importers, however, are asking too much money for a car that's not even popular. Would you pay 20 grand for a 30 year-old car that doesn't have the pedigree like a Skyline or Z? Believe me, if you think parts for the C110 is hard to come by, parts for that car are almost non-existent.

240K GT for sale, Adelaide, South Australia
Yes, It's cool to own a RHD one-of a-kind car in the states. Then, when something breaks and you have to find non-existant parts . . . I am already thinking about that, and the car is still in JAPAN! You really have to be a car-nut to endure these things . . . .

cherry blossom's survive
Cdavid . . . Worthless??? you know as well as I do that the Sakura/Yayoi rims are almost impossible to find, and at that width, comparable to hens' teeth. I was just making light of Blue Meanie's joke of $6.00. At 3 grand, I'd buy them, but I don't have the car to put them on . . . . and I don't think the BOSS wwould entertain another project car , , , , , hahahahahahaha

cherry blossom's survive
Yayoi rims. Difficult to find in "regular" widths, these are truly rare. And yes, Blue Meanie, it's about 6 bucks if the exchange rate holds at 115

Comparable Body sheet metal
If you're looking for comparable, you would need to get the same or similar vintage sheet metal. I would say +1 or -1 year model Datsun from the Z you have. BUT, what are you doing? If it's only bondo, hammer and dolly, or paint, anything should work for practice. However, if it's cutting, welding, etc, then I would go for same vintage. For me, it doesn't really matter, but if you don't have too much experience, things can awry very quickly when working with thin, rusty sheetmetal.

A/C Unit removal
I have a case of R12 from 1998 that sold for 198 Yen. The next summer, the same can was 498 Yen - if you could find it. I wonder what the stuff would sell for today? Last year, I had the Skyline charged for $55.00, R12, and it was completely empty of gas. The mechanic said there were no leaks, but the compressor rear seal may be going bad. It's still pumping out cold air today.

rear suspension arm upgardes??
Paperwork has the following numbers on them. It's all written in Japanese, so I can't be sure, but it is the only numbers that look like part numbers. At least it's a start. Front struts: 10201-83004-09. These are 4 setting adjustable struts, with 1 being the softest and 4 being the hardest rate. Rear shocks: 10161-93001-02. The are 8 setting adjustable struts, with 1 being the softest and 8 being the hardest rate. If you want scans of the paper, I can get it and mail it to you.

Trying to sell: 1973 240z (Fairlady Z)
It's the novelty and rarity factor. The RHD cars were not sold in the US for obvious reasons, but a few made it over. Since many parts are the same, it's easy to restore or repai this car. Plus, the Z factor comes into play. It's a Z, from the home country. The Japanese have the same passion for American cars, but the parts are hard to get because American carmakers don't make for the Japanese market.

rear suspension arm upgardes??
I have KYB shocks and struts on my car. Apparently, they fit the C10, however, probably not listed as such. I'll have to check the paperwork for part numbers.

Trying to sell: 1973 240z (Fairlady Z)
Probably a 2.0L six. Those flat tops may not be the dreaded square-mouth US spec carbs, but the JDM round mouth type. I see them occasionally pop up on Yahoo Japan. Always round mouth flat tops.

NO YOU DON'T. Just tell the guys what you want, how much you're willing to pay, and let them find one for you. Then, they have it shipped to you. Simple. I think you're using this as an excuse to go chase Aussie women on the beach . . . .

Oils in Oz
I think this may be of interest to you. http://www.micapeak.com/info/oiled.html I used to use 10W-40 exclusively. After reading this, however, when I get back in October, when I go back to 30 or 40 for the Skyline. I use a 10W-40 here in Japan and the temperature ranges 0 (32) to 40 (104) where I live.

1st time poster with a questions
I have no problem with this guy making money selling Zs to people who want them. I was thinking about getting one myself. But his claims and not being able to provide "proof" of them raised the BS flag. Another scammer exposed. Critical people of this forum ferrets them out to the benefit of the rest. THANK YOU ! ! ! !

Move along, then. I had serious hopes of getting a Z from you, but if that's your attitude, I don't need to deal with it. Sayonara. And quit posting, since you've just about alienated yourself from almost everyone here.
