well.. once i looked at the part where the head bolts go through the towers... i decided to back out. from what i found out, the cam has a bit more duration, but less lift. so torque for horsepower... no thanks there! if i do it, itll have to be aftermarket... no playing around with parts in the garage for me! thanks guys!

okay... while im in the process of doing my valve guide seals, i was wondering. i heard that the 260Z cam is pretty mild, and there happens to be a whole 260 e88 in my garage. i have an n47 on it now, and i was wondering if i would get any form of gain or performance from putting this cam on my n47 already on the car. someone told me that a mild cam would go good with the setup that i have, so i was just wondering if it was true. thanks!

well... i need a good econo car, im starting college soon, and i just cant keep up with the Z. well... im really into mk2 or mk3 golf/gti's.. is there anyone in the area who would trade me my Z and all of the extra parts for a mk2 or mk3 golf/gti? i know it sounds kinda dumb... but i honestly cant keep up with her, and i know vw's very well. the problems with my Z are that it needs valve guide seals (the new ones come with the car) and minor rust issues. little under the car, but its fiberglass floors, so it doesnt go through. the other part is a little by the lower rad. support, and a tiiiny hole by the rear hatch. ill throw in all of my spare parts... and at one time used to be a whole 78 Z (all but the body panels). http://www.cardomain.com/ride/783001 recent pics are on the last page. thats her! thanks.

really? the 260 electric pump will be fine?! thats a camel off my back. hehe. i dont know the comp, but until i can get a flattop block, its an n42 with a 74 e88 w/ 72' carbs.

oh.. ill be using the carbs... im just wondering if the 260z electric fuel pump (they came with 2 pumps) will work? if not.. that rx-7 one sounds sweet.

okay. im getting ready to put a full 260z head on my l28. the problem is that the mechanical fuel pump leaks fuel and oil. my question is can i use just the stock electric fuel pump? or do i need anything else. also, do they sell rebuild kits for the mechanical pump?

recently my z had a date with 400lbs of lowes fence equippment, and lowes agreeded to pay for damages. so $2089.22 later... minus a radiator, she runs... but looks like more hell. my neighbor has a late 74 260 2+2 with 3 small spots of surface rust, and one 2 inch hole in the pass floor. its got a fresh l26 with an n47 head, dual webbers, air dam, new brakes (rotors, calipers, etc.), new clutch, clutch master+slave cylinders, and no dents!!! he is asking for 1000, and i think im gonna go for it. i wanna drive it while i fix my car, it seems like a good idea. any pros or cons to the setup? is it worth it? any input is cool!

odd... id like an answer too. but i think its a flap problem. mine stays at 950 when im rolling (with the drivetrain disengaged). and when i come to a complete stop.. back to 800.... but my idle also slightly moves up and down (like 25-50rpms), so i think my flap spring is loose... but i dont worry too much about it anymore... just happy to be driving the car.

i love my daily driver... and yes i drive the HELL outta it.

it stops when cornering, and goes back to normal when going straight... really bad at 40mph... but then quiets down (or the wind gets louder) after that.

my rear wheel bearings suck... so they do that... . i need to replace those...pronto.

really, just use the money you'd use in an sbc swap, and tt the sh** outta her..!!! make em pay!

hey, that was me that told you about the liner... yeah... it sucked balls... no matter what gear, from 1700 to 3k... all of the time, no matter what speed or gear. i was adding a header anyways, so i just solved it then... but now the #4 cyl. is flowing just a l i t t l e more than the rest...

i havent spent that much on my FI Z in the past year and a half... and i bought new injectors...

man... that sucks. bad.. i decided that it was time ro replace my csv, and thats about all ive done to her in the past month. im deciding weather to switch my ign. unit out, i have weak starts... have you ever taken the oil pan and cover plates off in the car? i just did (timing chain looooose!) and boy is it a pain in the arse! but its not too bad...
