Are these door panels stock? I took them off my 1973 240Z that I am the third owner of. Being 3rd owner I am not sure if someone changed parts or not. The back board on bolth are strong and very clean with light water marks on the lower edge of one. the one looks two tone in the photo but thats just A shadow and there very dusty.
  2. Wow man, Thats A real bitch. What azzholes. I wish there was somthing that I could do to help out on this. I didnt know you where on acrage of your own with no one near. WTF. I dont blame you one bit. I would.... well I cant type that here. put it this way you=:bandit: them:finger: take um and :tapemouth then :stupid: so they:hurt: if that wont work well then :dead:
  3. I know about this all to well. I had the same crap pulled on me A few years ago on MN. One thing that pissed them off good was that I was grandfathered in where I was. That is to say that I was there doing this long before they changed the laws and or zoning. So there "NEW" laws didnt go after me. Now I was A cardealer there with A dealership so I am not sure about what you are dealing with. I get the feeling that you are talking about the # of cars sitting aroud your home. If thats the case I am now dealing with that now aswell. At this point I am lucky (in the eyes of the law here not mine ) that I dont have any (parts) cars @ this point. In my small town they are looking to change the laws asfar as to how many cars you may have that are not regesterd for the road. They are looking at passing A new law that states no one may have more then 1 car sitting outside there home without current tags. This is so wrong in so many ways it's not funny. I think there is only one thing that people can do in this case. Go to your city meetings. Stand up and speak up. You cant go in looking to prove there wrong.Thiswont work. These are people that you cant prove wrong (there never wrong in there eyes). So your best bet is to do what I am trying. That is go in talking about how there rite about this. This will get you open ears. Now is your chance to talk about how there laws will hurt some people that would like to stay within the laws. Talk about how there beef is with people that have real junk like 87 k-cars and ford LTD's sinking into the ground. Offer to meet part way some thing along the lines of A permit you could get for people that are working on classic cars. Yes this is alot of work and time. But there is no way you are going to prove them wrong(that junk cars sitting in yards wont drop prop. value.)Thats the what this is about anyway.$$$$$$$ The truth of it is there rite about what they are trying to do. That is keep the city you live in A clean and safe place for you and others to live. They just need to give respectful car people A option. Not outlaw what we do. This is just how I feel and what I am trying to do about it.

I have A pair of T-Tops for A 280zx. Like new dark tint good rubber & scratch free. I have never owned A zx or plan on one. The price is open offers\Trade. I would like for them to go away. Some one left them with A girlfriend who was working @ A gas station. The guy said he didnt have the money for the gas he pumped poped out the tops on his ZX and asked her too hold them till he came back to pay for his gas. Three weeks later she called and asked if I wanted them. Please someone must need A set. (I know theres one ZX out there that needs tops. )

I am doing the same thing as I go along with mine. Not only will this help prove that you have A bondo/fiberglass patchwork free car. It also will look damn good at shows too have A photo alb. of the stages you did your car in. God forbid anything should happen with your baby but if it dose. You will have your photos for looking back and getting A tear in your eye. Or for the lawsuit for how much your classic Z was worth before they ran that redlight.

As with most classic cars out there is A true following of the Z car. With this love you can find that people will have more then one of there type of car. Some people get one done and want another just for A change. Others find that its cheaper for them too buy A parts/donner car. Another would be one for street one for track or his & hers. How many Z's do you have?

I thought the same about the drill & dremel. I WAS WRONG:finger: I found that I was going through polish real fast & its spendy. on top of that the dremel tools (buffing wheel) is poly so when it gets warm it melts:stupid: So then I go and buy A buffing wheel for my drill Dont waste the money less you buy A 5 gallon drum of polish. even on low speed it ends up more work for the clean up from the spray that comes off the wheel. You also still need to hand rub them after the buffing wheel anyway. As with most things shortcuts show. Take your time save your money and do them by hand you will be happy & proud.

I use mothers. It takes time to get them real good. Set aside around 8 hours if you are going to do it by hand. Get A pack of rubber gloves or your fingers will be black for some time. take the wheel off the car or you wont do the job you want. Once you have them done the shine will last for a long time with just A fast wipe down @ the carwash.

There is no such thing as A "Stupid question". At this point they dont offer A kit that is for the Datsun/ Nissan. Your best bet is call and tell them what you are doing and they will put A kit togather for your needs. If you have no clue as to what you are doing 1st find A shop that will do it for you. Then let them order the kit for you and install it. ("when I got my car it had a billion problems with it's electrical system, because the owner before me had tried to rewire it himself. As a result, the headlights were wired in series, and the horn didn't operate, as well as the blower motor, and defroster. I tried to fix it myself, but then realized that I would probably mix it all up worse, so I took it to a shop and had them do it. I am glad I did because when I called in to check on it, the mech. said "oh, wait, are you talking about the electrical nightmare". ") Let A pro do it the first time. much less money.
  14. E engine M management C computer Thing that makes this motor run its brain. "chopped at right after the shifter" I would get A trasmission aswell?
  15. I know about the motor set-up in z's. It was just when full front clip was said. Do you get the E.M.C. With the motor? What year?how many miles on them?
  16. This has become a more popular swap lately for most z car owners. ??? (more popular ) where? anyone have A photo of A full front clip from A skyline on A 240Z?
  17. so much better then mine. But if someone wants to use mine here. Z :sleepy:

There are some here. I grew up in MN. and up north they hold scca rally runs on logging roads and back dirt roads. I know they hold the same type in wiss. aswell. But you wont see much for Z's there its the hart of the rust belt.

well, for doing A drag car. Your best bet would be fab up A subframe and put A cut down solid axle with wheel tubs in. The next step down would be A corvette (c3 I think) rearend. The corvette used the same style rear with independent rear suspension and can be fit in your Z. No it wont just slip in & bolt-up. But if you are going to go V-8 for drag racing you will be putting more power to the ground @ much more hp&torque then any stock nissan rearend was ment for. Just do it rite the first time. After all the first you will need to track down the nissan rear you think you want. Blow it at the track and start looking again. Alittle more money up front will save you tons later.

The block color is blue. now I am not sure of the color code but its alittle lighter blue then mine. This is GM block blue and it is close but not (on the money)

I have my swap in the works. A few years back I had the chance to put A few miles on A 71 240Z with A 327 vette motor and 4 speed. Once you feel A Z with that kind of power. You will fall in love and never look back. love @ the twist of A key.

Keep it on the track & off the streets Rember if you race someone and they hurt someone else you are just as much at fault. Strang & freek things go on at high speeds that you wont want to deal with on A track. No less A city street with other people or parked cars around.:dead:

went over where my seats are and looked. The side covers are gone. Sorry.....
  25. Now I would like A set for my 73 240. But I dont like the idea of handing over my cc# in the hopes that some day they may do there 6-8 weeks of tooling. I would need A date they will be done-billed-sent. Sorry been taken for rides by aftermarket part house ppl before and wont happen again. Get real dates & I will buy.
