  1. First let me warn you this set-up is not in A Z. I just think this is worth looking at for someone who is thinking about A hot V-8 thats not your everyday street rod motor. As far as "cheap" with shoping around and not getting in A big rush this could be done for little $$$. http://www.sdsefi.com/features/dec00supra.htm :devious:
  2. There is A photo of A black set here for sale. But are listed as sold. I woud e-mail them and ask if they may have any others for sale. http://www.zparts.com/ads/wheels/pages/skc-02.html

Just got home from the shop thats doing my 240Z and took some shots of the rides there doing now. Sorry about photos but its night and poor lighting where the vette was. This is A twin turbo 92 corvette on N.O.S. They did it all there. The other is A nice lil parts runner with the stang getting set for paint. The work on my hood is set to start in the morning. I should have the whole car there by june. Waiting for A space to open up.:devious:

With stickers that old and big they tend to come off in chunks. This is dependent on how bad the sun cracking is. I have found that as kmack said heat works good. But if you have A good (new) razor blade you can get under the sticker holding the blade almost flat and rocking it back n forth you will feel when you get under the sticker yet above the paint. This can take more time then A putty knife but you will find it cleaner with less nicks in your paint. Because you will get A feel for where you are (over the paint) that gets lost with A handle with the putty knife. This is just what I have found to work.

where can I find the art used on the main page of this site?
  9. I have been working classic car auctions for 15 years now. As A z owner I hate to say that there is no real (big money) in site for the run of the mill Z. It would take proven winning race history or lower miles then most 2001 corvette on the road today. Its to bad. There are some out there worth some good money and getting that buyer that wants the car isnt hard. The hard part is finding the buyer with the cash that wants it. With knowing just how mint A 240Z would need to be for it to be worth any big money (over 20k) I dont mind turning mine into my dream toy. I took A ton of time(8 years) looking at all diff. types of 240's from mint - not even for parts and now have found the one I have been looking for. I am going into this knowing its going to eat money I will never see back. But feel the rush most dream about at the turn of A key.

Did you login under A diff. name & vote for the 2+2?
  11. That could move out with the turbo 4 cyl. DONE RITE.. I think you could be buying alot of new underware. With that kind of cut in lbs. up front. Could get real fun keeping the front tires on the ground at speed. Hope you dont need to turn fast.:dead:
  12. I would like A set. But its going to be A month or two before I am at that point.

The last link I posted for the body kits is no good..... the link works fine. They dont take anymore orders. But will take BID'S for the whole company. Yes you could buy your very own z body kit company. Look here http://www.kitcarz.com/

  15. Now I like that. After I get done with everything I have on the table for my 73 240Z at this point. I will be looking into that. Wondering about clearance with the V-8.

I just got home from taking my hood over to my body guy. I will be posting photos soon. I am doing A true ram-air style hood with my stock hood. He is going to take and cut and roll two openings one on each side of the front rise in the hood. I told him I wanted to take pics of it in the diff. stages and he is more then fine with this. So soon there will be photos. We are shooting for it to be done by sunday. I know this wont work on the true Z motor set-up without some type of air intake molded in. But this will work fine for the air intake on my 350TPI. I cant wait....
  17. I like your ride nice color but I myself dont care much care for most of the stock colors for Z's in the 70s. Like do-do brown or baby crap green(pea soup green)

Now thats the deal with glass pack style muff. You go and buy one or two get them installed. Then you burn them in. The sound of them will get louder and the sound (note) will change over the miles/time. The burn-in time will very on how its driven. The last set of glass packs I got went on A 74 corvette with A 383 stroker. Driven hard they took about A week @ around 30 miles A day before the true sound came in. Yes over time they will burn out but thats A long time. p.s. they smell like crap for the first day or so but gose away. Another choice would be A steel pack muff. just like A glass pack but with A woven steel rather then fiberglass inside. There A cool sound with the inline six. heres A pic of my 74 vette I had the glasspacks on. corvette.bmp

I had the same prob. But with 2 cuts it's fine. 1st cut down the middle making 2 parts one per carb. then you may need to take the lower corner off the side @ the front of the motor.

Yes I agree with Zvoiture. look around. Here is A pic. I took from another site. But it is A 17x7 wheel under A 240Z.
  24. nice. makes me miss the west. I moved from vegas just over A year ago. love the style of the homes out there. Your Z looks nice there.
  25. I use A foam no touch then black magic tire tint (silver) comes in blue & gold aswell. Tire tint is nice, easy, and long lasting. It has REAL FINE metallic flake mixed in with A tire shine gel that makes your tires look wet all the time. In the sunlight they look bad azz. The silver gives the true wet look. I have never done the blue or gold. I think the blue or gold could look tacky.
