Ok. Now I have A chance of getting A 83 zx. now I am looking at it for the brake parts you know rear swap. Now what about A swap of the fi system. #1 will the intake bolt up? if so can I keep my headers? yes the zx is non-turbo. sorry I have the su blues. :beard:

If you see A ride you want ( and have the cash) he will give you A good deal And uses the same inclosed transports as the ferrari shop down the street.

Yes the rest of that site has to do with one of these http://www.zcarkits.com/ Now as to how I feel about this is mixed for I have done A ferrari kit car (69 dino) on A 73 bug pan. Now this kit looks nice & fun but with as much time & work it has taken me to find my 240Z I would never do this with my 240 but I do have my eye on A 280 with body damage for doing up with this kit. After the 240 is done.......:beard:

Well, here http://www.newtier.com/graber/z-car/gauges.html the file is ziped and I have opened it and printed it but would clean it up some before putting it on photo paper to use. yes it fits but I would take them to A print shop for cutting and drilling.

Rollcage For Z's
Thanks on the warning on the scca deal. but I am just doing this for street/show fun. scca has no runs close enough for me to worry about that. As far as tubing the 4&8 point are 1-3/4x.134 wall steel and the 10&12 are 1-5/8x.134 . The nhra & ihra standards are high enough for me. I just thought that some other ppl may want to know who has what for Z's that some times get overlooked. Thanks again. Jeff. :beard:

Rollcage For Z's
Well, I made A call to JEG'S (1-800-345-4545) they have the jigs for making up full cages (weld-in) in 4 point $122.99 , 8 point $149.99, 10 point $199.99, and full 12 point cage for $269.99. I am getting the 8 point and it takes 2 weeks for them to bend it up and ship it. I will post some pics when it shows and then more as it gets put in. :beard: P.S. They said they had them for all Z's @ the same prices.

motor shot
first thanks. Now the wires are (NGK SPARK PLUG CABLE R-8) and the oil filter is A BOSCH 3500 . now datsun made life easy as far as oil filters go there fordROFL . Because of the filter being ford I am going to be getting a remote twin filter with cooler soon. Its easy and will drop motor temp. big time.

my RUST FREE baby 1973 240Z
Well, after 8 years of looking I found A real rust free 240Z. Now let the fun start. I just put the motor back in a few days ago now and just orderd her A 8 point cage. Then out for paint. I have had three vettes in the past and sold my last vette just to get the extra $$$$ to do this 240Z the way it should be done. Now to pick A color.

theres A few pics. I have put this car up on A lift and found NO form of rust under her. This car still has the 8 track player thats just how pure she is. Getting close to picking A base color. I was thinking yellow but then look around and see how many yellow and red Z s are out there. Now thinking viper blue with the twin white stripes. Any thoughts let me know I am open. P.S. When I got the car home it had A aftermarket paint (metal flake turd brown) with sun crack in the clear coat. that and wanting to see if there was any body/rust filler in her. is why I am taking in so far down. Oh yah. the motor. race cam , valves , valvesprings , ported, 6 into 2 header with the fact twin su carbs . 4-speed.

valve help please
Help please. I have just picked up a rust free 73 240z the person who had this car before me put alot of work in her with 3 into 2 headers cam valves well you get the pic. any how with the new race cam and rockers and so on will the clearance settings still be .012 and .010 when hot?

vapor lock
I own a 73 240z aswell and the easy way round that lock up is get some thermo tape and wrap the fuel line where it runs around the vavlecover.
