Yes you could put A new motor in. But the chance of it working is 50/50. Most of the time its more then just that wrong. Hell its over 20 years old. You can buy A power antenna at just about any auto parts store that will fit just fine. There is tons of room in there and the new ones today run much faster and fluid like with far less noise.

  4. I hope to have it home tomorrow and get A better look. The way it looked from the outside was good & solid. But we all know that can change by looking inside. I will let you know.
  5. The main reason for getting it was the interior. All black with door panals roof & rear hatch plastic crack free and all the vinal for the wheel wells & center console sides are tear free:devious: I dont need any of the drive line parts. But thats not saying I am just gona blow um off. Stock A/C set-up anyone? How about the auto trans with the good center console for the auto. Make me an offer.

  9. I was going down A road about 20 miles from my house that I had never been on before. Out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw A Z. I stoped my truck backed up and there it was. I didnt even look @ it close. I just went in the shop it was sitting near and asked if it was for sale. The owner said $150.00 and shes yours. Needless to say I took it. Going to pick it up tomorrow. But get this. date 03-73 car# HLS30-150000 automatic with stock A\C. I took it in order to have A parts car for my 73 date 10/72. We will see if The rust is real deep. If not deep it may just get sealed up and set aside till this one is done. I maybe busy for A long time :stupid:
  10. I cant say forsure about nissan. But with what I have used its not like A metal rivet. Where you pull till the center pops off. With these you place it in the hole then push the center in till flush with the head. At that point it locks in place.

I have AAA gold & cell. I had the same thought till stuck with A flat no signal for the phone. hooked A ride called AAA and 2 hours later A stinger tow truck shows. That wont work with my car because it was too low and needed a flatbed tow. @ that point I told myself that will never happen to me again. spare or run flats 4 me.
  12. http://www.classicdatsun.com/ Here they sell all the plastic for the rear hatch and more. Not cheap but new in any color. I cant see them not able to get them.

(I'm going to cut out the spare tire well and weld in a box where it and the gas tank was. Mounting it above is more dangerous spill wise in a bad collision and it raises the center of gravity.) As far as dangerous not true. With the fuel cell sold in summit & jegs there made SFI certified with that they have A foam liner. With proper vents they can not spill. The center of gravity will change with the top mount. But if you want this for the street aswell where are you putting A spare tire? I would hate to leave my baby on the side of A road (after all this $ & work) for A flat. But thats just my .02 on it.:tapemouth

Not sure what you are thinking as A fuel cell. There are many types out there. The kind most ppl. think of is the floor mounted. With this style the mounting in A nissan Z will take some real work. The first thing to think about is that you will have to cut out the spare tire hole and weld it in as A flat floor. This is the way I am going. I have other things in line first. But will be posting photos as I go. Now where to put the spare. I have picked up A spare tire hanger from A 99 chevy 1500 pick-up. This will be welded on the plate that will cover the hole where the spare use to sit. Now you have A flat rear floor for your cell & the spare is held up under the car. Dont try this @ home!! Have A real body shop do this work!!:stupid:
