Too much weight reduction?
Ummm...down pillows... A) Poor choice of tires in the rain. Something else have been done to the engine to create gobs of power... What do you think the total weight reduction is? 100 lbs? Maybe 200lbs, max? Shouldn't have that dramatic an effect on your ability to get traction unless you're on slicks.

Hello all,, comin over from HybridZ..looking for opinions
My vote: keep her stock and either love her as such or dispose of her as such. If you're stuck on a V8 swap, find a better project car. You'll be ahead financially and end up with pretty much the same ride. Good luck either way. Keep reading on the board. Perhaps we'll win you over to the bright side of the force (tip of the hat to Mike's creepy avatar)...

Hello everyone...new guy here!
Welcome aboard fellow canuck! Smart choice on the efforts to ensure rust-free status. Almost everything you need you will find on the board. Also check out www.ontariozcar.com for the Ontario club. Good bunch of people, some neat events. For hands-on expertise, check out Whitehead Performance (401 & Weston) for mechanical work (doesn't sound like you'll need much). Not always the cheapest, but they've been working on these things forever and Greg & Mike know their stuff. (I need to find their equivalent in Montreal...) Good luck with the project. Hope to cross paths someday (although I moved to Montreal a couple of months ago). Cheers.

Z fananatic to break the ice
Hey...welcome aboard! Wouldn't it be easier to modify an existing turbo setup as opposed to converting? (not a turbo guy...no clue).

Hi!
Welcome aboard... Read up plenty on getting a 240Z...rust is the major issue and it always costs more to repair than just putting up some extra coin buy rust-free to begin with... If you are thinking of buying a car in another location, see if someone on the board will inspect it for you (usually not that hard to find). Good luck and welcome to the club. You're exhibiting extremely good taste.

Very nice Mally...I might have added: that certain sound in 2nd gear when you hit the powerband and she just growls away...

The oddest Z car conversion I've ever seen- the Spartan.
Careful...I derided 2+2's once and got slammed by someone whose 2+2 is much nicer than any of my cars...

looking for a date?
Malicious mischief, vandalism, then a guy I dated turned up dead plus his wife. Conjugal visits can sometimes be arranged as brief, out-of-prison furloughs. The first meetings for marital consummation are usually arranged within one (1) week of the marriage, and visits can last for up to four (4) days. How long the marriage lasts, however, is up to you. Ah...dream girl

new to z's from Kansas
Chad, Welcome to the board and the world of Z's. Your experience with the first car is not uncommon. My first Z purchase was advertised as only needing brake lines. Once we got the car up on a hoist, we found out with mild pressure you could put your fingers right through the rear of the unibody (behind the seats). Luckily the seller was a stand-up guy and took the car back. Since then I've added 3 and plan for more. Have fun with the resto!

Who Has the Most Miles?
You both have it wrong...the thread should be who has personally logged the most Z miles in the driver's seat/as an owner (I'm a baby in that regard < 10K). We could subdivide this into two categories: 1) single Z ownership 2) multiple Z ownership...
