She's gotta go :(
Pawn the music gear. Get it back when you get the taxes... Why do I get the sense that a revised web-site logo might feature Darbji prominently...(although I must admit I still prefer the shot of you standing in front of Kharma...) Best of luck Rockr

Hello Hello
Be very wary...the addiction will bite you hard... Sounds like a bunch of fun projects though... Do beware of the shells that "look" good. Common areas for rot are floors, frame rails, doglegs, battery tray and cowl. Once they start to go, it's a lot of work to bring back... Have fun!

72 240z help
Most likely the math works this way: Free + Rust = parts car... Major rust issues on Z's include floors, rockers, doglegs, cowl, battery tray and frame rails. If you have 2 of them gone, most likely they are all mostly gone. The engine, if done well, may be good (pretty typical enhancements). Can't beat the price, but if you're looking to get something on the road, you might be better off to start by finding a good body for cheap (increasingly hard) and do the mechanical work (driveline parts are very cheap and abundant). If you do take it, make sure they won't want to kill you if you part it out.

So Cal Event
I tell Tony D to burn in hell but that was taken car of last week... Ok, that's pushing the line a little, I hope no one got hurt and all Z's are safe and accounted for... That being said, I had the old Z this out morning to get a coffee from Tim Horton's (something you don't have access to in So Cal...so hah!). Cheers,

Do It In A Datsun
Let's see...vehicles that was witnessed/suffered me in the act... 1973 Dodge Sportsman full size van (learned to drive in that one) 1971 Pinto Wagon (the year was 1987, just turned 16, not exactly the coolest car at high school, but hey it was a ride) 1979 Mustang Hatchback (later in high school, much cooler...reat seats folded down, hatch up) 2001 Ford Expedition I think I just might be too big for a Z (6'2", 250 lbs). Might just buy an old Datsun pickup to qualify for the club...

Rust claims another victim
Man, sorry to hear that... Alternate thought...(assuming you can get the structural integrity good enough for the following...)...save the money from a paint job, fix the mechanical side cheap but well...have some fun building a auto-cross/track vehicle...bigger cam...bigger carbs...bigger brakes...maybe find an L28 to rebuild... She won't have to be pretty...just tough...part-out or keep the interior for your red one... Neat project! Just a thought...

Horns look really neat. How hot were you running? Dropping operating temps below optimal will hamper performance...

How often do you see 240-Z's on the road?
Yeah, had a wierd week that way...out looking at the new property we are moving to outside Montreal last Wednesday and on the highway returning into the city got passed by a red 260Z (I was in my Sequoia unfortunately). He was flying. I chased and caught up to get a better look at the car. He had a 280Z hood and judging by his ability to accelerate, he was running flat tops. Next morning I get to the office and one of my employees is all excited. She was out with her 9 & 12 year old boys (both car nuts) and saw a yellow z-car on a flatbed pulling into her neighbourhood. Stated it had a black stripe running down the center (maybe a Zap?). Not often you see them around in November in Canada.
