Gas Tank Leak??
If you are dropping the tank. Consider getting it cleaned and coated. Either take it to a rad shop or use the POR-15 kit.

Gas Tank Leak??
Mine was only an issue when filled up completely...If i ran at 1/2 tank, never an issue.

Gas Tank Leak??
Take a pocket digital camera and try to get shots of the top of the tank. Note this thread where I had an issue: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26398 Did the spill come from one side in particular? Given the rate of pouring out, I'd assuming you're missing something like the vent hose.

Quick photoshoot (240z & 510)
Hmm..with the housing crash, those builders should have plenty of idle time right now. Might be the time to strike.

That has a tinge of "speaking from experience" to it...Is there a good story? Actually, I have just under 50 acres of land zoned agricultural. As long as I leave room for a tractor (or even a ride-on lawn mower...), I can pretty much build as I see fit.

Better yet...upgrade the garage...I moved from the 3 car garage in my sig to an 8 car garage(that would be pretty tight though)... Plenty of room for wayward Datsun's...

Why do people hide license plates?
That's pretty much it. Now for some real paranoia...most of us have our vin's on the site (a number in our sig's)...+ license plate info (or real name) to get address...bam lien on your car... Not quite that easy, but doable...

Hmm..is it roadworthy? Cost me $800 to get the '77 to the New York border and I brought it across myself. The shipping companies charge an arm and a leg to bring it across the border. If your interested, get a quote to Chazy, New York and find your way to Montreal. You can crash here and we'll get you across the border. (I can look up the transport company if you need. I used a broker. When I picked it up the transporter said if I ever needed another brought across to call direct and possibly save some cash...fuel has gone up mind you...). In the end, you'll only save a bit (maybe a few hundred at most), but much more fun...

A 1970 Z car approaches $30 grand!
Agreed. The difference is that with the relatively "valuable" classics, it makes much more sense (using the term loosely) to invest in a full and complete resto. (willing to spend $40k on a resto that will net you $60k...a little more difficult with an end value of $30k...) There are also more suppliers, so competition would dictate that parts for these may even be slightly cheaper (also due to economies of scale in production due to higher demand).

Help!!! 1970 240z L24 with tripple Mikuni 44's
Bigger carbs allow for more air/fuel to the cylinders. This will deliver more power as long a you are running a cam that is set up to use that extra capacity. In order to deliver more power, you want to achieve balance throughout your system. Carbs >> cam >> head (ported) >> exhaust system. Simply adding bigger exhaust will not automatically provide better flow unless that is the constriction in the system. Do some digging on this website and hybridz.org, this is discussed at length. As for the 5 speed, there are a couple of different variations of the 5 speed that have mildly different gear ratios. The biggest change over your 4 speed is the addition of an overdrive gear which will be good for highway. There will be little (if it is the close-ratio 5 speed) to almost no difference other than that. You may want to look into rear end changes depending on what performance you want to achieve. Again, use the search function...all of this has been well covered in previous posts...
