Luckily once I got her after the initial inverstment of new hatichi carbs $800 big ones new shocks all around and new plugs wires points and condensor for the initial $1100 dolars or so plus the car 3,000 I have been running an excellent daily driver for a year and could problem run for another year or two for hardly more money but I plan to do more work in the comminng year a brake upgrade some body work and fix some minor electrical work but I could definitely run her as is for two more years with little maintaince except the regular oil change or so !!!!!!! Love the 240Z and always plan to own one !!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Last week while driving my 72 240Z on I-95 in Florida a guy in a 65 convertible mustang gave me the thumbs up !!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked , a thumbs up from a guy driving an American car acknowleged my ZZZZ !!! It definitely sent chills up my spine and a grinn from ear to ear !!!!!!! Love the ride and definitely enjoy the ride !!!!!!!! HONK SOUNDS GOOD TO ME !!!!!!!

    The photo was decieving I will be getting a digital camera sometime next week and I will take a picture of them but they are solid rims not hub caps!!!!!! If you get members photos up maybe you can see what I mean with the photo's of my 72 240Z Thanks, Mike!!!!!

  11. Today I was doing a little work on my tail lights which I am sill having problems to get working. Blinkers and brake lights work and there is no side marker lights either!! But I check under the rear carpet and checked my spair brand new 14 inch rim with Bridgestone tire could that be original !!!! Any ideas for the lights ??? What was the name and size of original 72 240Z tire and any ideas with the lights ????

  13. Ouch !!! That hurts even though it is a zx I owned an 83 280ZX automatic for about four years ,I sold it about three years ago it was one the only Z that I owned that there wasn't a tear in my I when the new owner drove it away !!! All the others were either 240,260,280Z cars maybe thats why.

    Congrats !!! on you graduation !!!!!! and of course take care and enjoy your Z!!!!! I am one of the old guys in the club and you could not believe the excitement when I saw the first Z brosure in 1970 I was in the service at the time and I have loved them ever since !!!!!! and from 1974 until now the car still gives me chills when I drive it and when I see a nice one on the road !!!!!! Good Luck !!!! and May all your Z dreams come true !!!

    I can not help with the mirrors but I have say that is one nice ride and I think I would leave well enough alone you cannot improve on perfection !!!! That's my 2cents !!!! " Enyoy the Ride" and a nice one at that !

  24. I definitely like the t-shirt with small logo in front and larger logo in back. Maybe we could use the saying "Enjoy the ride " or another Z saying !!!!! I know colored tee shirts are expesive but maybe we could have a poll for color of tee shirt !!!!
