Car Insurance question
I am very happy with Hagerty Insurance and use them for my 71 and 72 240Z's they are garaged. I never asked if they insure cars that are not. Wonder if anyone has ever asked them that question??? I know for myself my Z's will always be garaged !!!!! Last years hurricanes my Z's stayed in the garage while my 2003 Sebring stayed outside !!!! My wife was not happy with that !!!!

Went to the Barrett-Jackson Auction today !!!!! 72 240Z up for bids !!!!
Montoya fan01 you pretty much summarized my feelings about Barrett-Jackson auctions and the value of that particular Z which was probable the only Japanese car at the auction. As for time of the auction for the Z it was about 10:30am !!! People definetly get caught up in the hype and it was a very interesting two days for me. Like I said a lot of rich uppity people there and the main reason I went was to see the Z and if they would have auctioned of the first day I would have not returned for another day but since it went the next day I had to see what the car went for and believe me if it would have went for a low rediculous price I would have kicked myself in the but for not registering to bid on it !!!!!!!!!! This car was a Califorinia car though and it still had the Calif. plates on it.

Went to the Barrett-Jackson Auction today !!!!! 72 240Z up for bids !!!!
Few more photos !!!! I definetly enjoyed the atmosphere of the auction and will never see a collection of cars all in one place !!!! The prices were soaring and the bidding was heavy today !!! Speed TV was there yesturday and today !!!! I saw a few cars that sold for 80,000 another for 65,000 that had to pushed out of the auction area lot of dead batterys !!!! But afer all is said and donel I am very happy with my 1971 920 gold 240Z !!!!! So this will more than likely be my last two day auction experience !!!!!

Went to the Barrett-Jackson Auction today !!!!! 72 240Z up for bids !!!!
The car sold for $10,700 and it was a speculator got the car who I did meet later on in the day !!!!! He already had a for sale sign on the car for $13,500 or obo I did happen to write his phone number down if any one wants it !!!! I finally got to look under the hood and it looks like the engine has hadly ever been touched the car has approx. over 107,000 miles two small hair line cracks in the dash !!!!! Cark Beck was definetly on target with the price range !!!!! I am just sad that a true Z fan did not get the car !!!! The vin of the car was in the 74,000's like someone said but I did not write down the exact vin: If anyone wants the number of the new owner I will post if that is ok !!! The carbs look original and untouched !!! Never heard the car run !!!!! Interior was excellent !!!! $10,700 I feel would have been a good deal and if I had a more understanding wife I might of went for it !!!! Engine compartment shows much better than it is !!!!!

Went to the Barrett-Jackson Auction today !!!!! 72 240Z up for bids !!!!
Never believe what the ad says !!!! I saw the car in person, the car is in excellent condition and as I stated there are different degress of restoration and some people use the word restoration pretty freely and still have not seen underneath the hood or inside !!!!! The car is a Calif. car though !!!! Never believe ads !!!!!!!

Went to the Barrett-Jackson Auction today !!!!! 72 240Z up for bids !!!!
Let me tell you there was not many Japanese cars there and the Z did not get much attention !!!! Car is definetly red !!!! They say it is a restoration but we are away of the degress's of restoration just ask 26th Z It has dual mirrors and the Z shift knob, but was still locked up at the end of the auction at 8.00pm ,maybe some one will show the car today !!!! They auctioned about 150 vechicles yesturday and the Z is lot number 309 so I would say it will go late tonight !!!!! Put like this the Z "Got no respect" for the people who remember Rodney Dangerfield !!! I was the only one who oggled over it !!! With all those exotic and muscle cars there the Z would be for me. I quess I am a true Z fanactic like many of us on this site !!!! I will keep you posted !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to the Barrett-Jackson Auction today !!!!! 72 240Z up for bids !!!!
I went back last night and the Z is still locked up!!!! Cannot see mileage or even look under the hood !!!! My wife would divorce me if I come home with that Z plus there is a $200 dollar fee for the right to bid on cars !!! My pockets are not as deep as these speculators !!!!! Lot of uppity people there !!! But you will never see an assortment of cars in one location ever it was worth the $15 admission !!! The location of the aution is in West Palm Beach, Florida at the South Florida Fairgrounds about 20 minutes from my house !!!!!!!!!!

I have read the previous threads about die cast cars but I have not seen any opinion on Yat Ming die cast cars. What is anyones opinion on the quality of these compared to Franklin Mint,Sunstar,Kyosho. I have seen a few on Ebay and there are fairly inexpensive compared to the others is that a hint to the quality ???????
