  1. Yes why not? I was curious if other ZG owners experience the same kind of feedback I get sometimes from the Z community.
  2. Nice rig. Do you get any knuckleheads giving you a hard time for not being 'stock'?

Good evening, I have good contacts in Japan, including translators. I have an idea to start a business specializing in importing / sourcing / translating Z related items straight from Japan. I don't know what the Z community wants most.Japanese magazines (translated?) Catalogs? Part ordering? Throw your ideas up here. FYI - for reference, my contact was able to find OEM G-Nose light covers for me and mail them over here. I have no idea what all they can get for me.

I put masking tape over the tail light area (inside of the Z) and covered the hatch vents too (I have a '70 with hatch vents, not the 71 with vents on the pillar) and the car went from undriveable (due to fumes) to now, very little fumes and none with the windows open. So now I will replace the tail light gaskets. I went to try to rempve the assembly and found that the bolts rotate freely but do not come out. What gives? Any advice?
  5. Excellent condition 1970 240 with G-nose. Essentially rust free. New wheels from Motorsport. New Sumimoto tires < 500 miles. Painted silver last year with black Jaoanse fender flares. Original wooden steering wheel, replacement dash cover. Needs a battery mount and new upholstery. Main problem is exhaust fumes in cockpit which I am fixing. Live in Fort Mill.

Even better - go to central asia and get a malcontented religious fanatic to step inside a car for a protest 'self-immolation' and see where the smoke emerges. I know that's not funny, especially since I own a near mint 240 that is undriveable due to the fumes. I am working on it.
  7. Looking for a good shop to swap out the motor in my 1970 240z; and myabe some other work. Are there any Z shops relatively close to Charlotte?
  8. Oh one more thing - I might sell my car in the spring. Right now i am having a new transmission put in, and new wheels. It is rust free, but the mileage is unknown, (certainly it's pretty high, I think like 150K). It's got new paint, G-nose, headlight covers, new headliner. it burns some oil. I'm think about starting bids at $8K. And by the way, I won't sel it to you if you have to drive it more than a mile (just kidding). E "if you don't drive it, it's a statue"
  9. oh yea, if someone buys it, it is no longer his business where the car is driven. what is up with this 'won't let you drive it more than 50 miles'? Weird. I'm betting that car is not ever going to sell. I don't think i'd buy from that guy.

  12. I wonder why the mileage is so low? Can't see how someone would buy a car brand new and then pretty much just store it for 30+ years. Maybe it's like Christine; takes over the owners mind and then he can't drive it or sell it no matter how hard he tries. Anyway nice ride.

I think I can get you a pair of headlight covers, but they cost around $600 (depending on exchange rate) and shipping another hundred or so. Also, they don't ship straight here, so you need someone there to physically pack it up for you. If this isn't too expensive for you (and these are definielty overpriced, considering it's just some glass and metal) lemme know and I'll drop my buddy a line. E
