1970 G Nose
With headlight covers. Lemme know if you're interested and I might be able to dig up a pair for you. But they are pricey.

Advice on fixing shift boot
All work done by Lewis body shop in Manakin, VA. Completely stripped and repainted, with a paint code from a 2003 Maserati. G-Nose installed, painted deep silver and black trim. Added headlight cover directly imported from Japan. They did all this for less than $3500. I recommend the shop, especially since the owner of the shop is a Z car fan, he knows the car quite well. There is no rust on this car. All new rubber around the glass, and new windshield. I know the purists may not like the color, but I preferred the silver/black color scheme. Next, I will redo the upholstery with one of the original black kits.

Advice on fixing shift boot
Good afternoon, Well my 240Z is finally complete; G-nose and fender flares added, all paint and rust stripped off then repainted. I'm very happy with it. This is a 1970, and it is rust free. I even got the G-nose headlight covers shipped to me from my friend who lives in Tokyo. As you can see at the shifter, the original color was green but I have painted it silver and black. Problem is, some exhaust is getting in through the gear shift area. The rubber is completely shot, Any advice on how to replace this? What is the process and what kind of adhesive do I need? Thanks all. Erik

Glass head light covers?
Any idea what they are worth? I'm going to use one for my own car, thinking about buying and selling the other. E

Can't figure this out; How in the world do you install interior, rear view mirror?
this is tougher than a Rubik's cube! So I got a new mirror, and I went to install it, but the installation screws are covered by the mount itself. So I can't figure out how to screw the mirror in without some kind of magic tool that can install it right through the piece of solid metal! Any help out there? I can't figure this out. Erik

Help! Hood hinge needed for G-Nose
to Motorsport. Give them a call, 1-800-633-6331. They are in huge demand, and people a alot of $$ for them. I found one on ebay and overpaid for it. Only place I am aware of to buy a g-nose is Motorsport. There is another shop in Canada (called showparts) that makes them, but i wouldnt order from them if I were you. They had no idea about the hinges when I called them, and they have alot of complaints on them on e-bay. Also they don't take caredit cards; you have to pay with a check up front so if they don't ship you have no recourse.

advice! 1970 Zfor sale -- how much to ask?
I was thinking about selling my 1970 z. Manufactured in 5/70. t is undercoated, and has almost no rust. It has a carbeurated '75 2.8 liter engine, custom 'z's upholstered in the doors and seats. It runs very strongly, and is very fast. It starts evry time, no problem. Things I have replaced over the last 2 years: 1) Electrical system completely rebuilt by a Z specialy shop 2) New choke cable 3) New license plate lamp 4) New dash cover 5) new gear knob that says '240z; 6) the paint job is about 3 years old I have an original steering wheel that I have not installed. Some minor problems: 1) it uses some oil. 2) a few chipped areas on the paint 3) I have a replacement dash cover that i could not get to mount correctly to save my life! 4) Some exhaust leaks into the interior, and i cant figure out were 5) it needs a rear vuew mirror 6) 92 thousand miles Here's a pic. I was thinking about selling on ebay so i could buy an old porsche 911, but I don't know what price to ask. Any advice is helpful, round numbers are fine. Thanks, Erik

Transmission advice
I'm going to top off the tran fluid after I replace the plug. I'd rather get a new one than go to one of these junkyards around here. Do you think the nissan dealer's have these parts?
