I bought a new alternator thought it would be simple to put in, but i can across something i was unsure of... What does the black connector link to? The E is to earth. the B to the batt. positve. the sl to the what was for the old sl. and thats where my knowledge ends. Help is greatly needed. p.s. autolite 83 280zx hitachi alternator

I have a 1973 240Z with a L28Turbo. I have a few problems the one i cant think of fixing are, my brake lights that do not light up when i step on the brakes, then my reverse lights do not work when i am reversing, and my engine stalls when Im cruising in neutral. The problem i mainly want to fix is the brake lights.
