when i was cleaning up my engine bay i disconected and recondected all the hoses are wires (cleaning connections/tighting clamps ect) then i went back and tryed adjusting the carbs again but with some help. Either way it idles solid at 900. I have to do a full tune up(cap roter plugs ect) so after im done with that hopefully ill be able to fine tune it a bit more. Thanks for the help!

Since I ordered the Ztherapy rebuild kit i've been tinkering with my carbs. I cleaned up all the old parts and put everything together. But i'm having an idle problem. When I turn the key on a cold motor (even a warm one) it needs some help.* Once I’ve revved it a few times till idle pretty good at 1400. The problem is when I adjust all the settings to have a bit lower idle it wont stay. I have the Ztherapy video and I pretty much know how to tune it but its still giving me grief. I checked the float and jetting both are set fine and not sticking. Its driving me crazy because it revs fine it just wont idle right. Any ideas? * I don’t have a choke cable or any of the stuff for that. I know that will fix the problem of helping it start. Until then I have to open my hood and pull them with my hands.

i might get the vinyl's for it but as for painting them on, too late. Clearcoats already on and im not going though that mess again. Im done with paint

Finaly got it back and some what put back together. Ill take some pics of it out in the sun when its all done but it truely might blind you Until then...

The car is getting painted yellow with black stripes doe sure. The air dam and spoiler are getting paint black for sure. I would like your opinions on whether I should add the reverse yellow stripes on the air dam and spoiler. yea i just liked that yellow...i see it on the xterras all the time and it just cetchs my every time

Finaly Im soooooooo excited! "solar yellow" from the frontiers with a reversal dubble black stripes ill post pics when its done but here it is as it left...

Are there any internal diff? Outside i know there was a 2400 on the early z but is there any reason you cant swap all of the covers as you please?

thats how i did it. i wish i had found these fourms before starting work on my z. as for the rear holes 2 of them may be gor the tool box hienge, if not then no i didnt ahve any of those holes.

both-i didnt weld though i used "Well-Bond adheasive" its a 2 part epoxy like stuff thats supposed to harden better then a weld.

I decided to get rid of that ugly bumper mount, indent, and even the side markers. its not done but its getting there. P.S. Sanding for a few hrs is a real workout!

I bought a SU rebuild kit. I took the carbs completely apart cleaned everything. Put on the new parts and put everything back together. The pistons move at the same speed. The needles and the seats match up perfectly. The pistons go all the way down. The floaters are parallel to the lid. So there ready to be installed right? If not what’s left? What fluid do I add into the top part of the carbs? How do I know if they’re both functioning the same when I put them on?

When applying short strand fiber glass to fill in a small hole, dose it have to bond directly to metal or is a sanded paint ok to apply it too

OK so when you turn on your running lights your turn bulb is dim and you want to turn it flashs from dim to bright? think thats what ur saying

When you have your running lights on that includes the front turn signals right? Are they bright or dim? when you click on the turn signals while having the running lights on dose the bulb go from dim to bright or bright to dim or bright to off or what? 74 260Z

so i spent the entire day unmolesting the wireing. time well spent i got the headlights and running lights working fully. the only thing not working is the turn signals but thats because i dont have the entire center console harness (including the hazzard switch)so once thats done im 95% sure all my wireing is exactly how it needs to be.

i know its not the switch its gotta be a wireing issue. ive completly torn the switch apart and fixed it its that whole mes of a wireing job i gotta fix
