Hi Dave; I hope that it is not too late to order a headlight and parking light harness upgrade for my '72 240Z. I can get the money order on Monday. Let me know, Ron.
I believe that the wheelbase was lengthened slightly to cure a bad angle between driveshaft and pinion that had caused complaints of driveline vibration. I think this took place in 1971.
I had a chance at a good deal on a set of Dunlop SP Sport 8000 size 215/60/15. At the time I needed a rolling car so I had them mounted up on my Panasport FS 15x7 wheels (I think the offset is 0 but might be 11. It sure looks beefy but very close to wheelwell. The tires received good reviews on TIRE RACK and I hope that the sidewalls don't get sliced up when I get the car running. Springs are Mulholland with orange Koni's. Anybody roll their fenders with good results?
Yes, I bought my '72 new and still own it. The oil pressure was good for a while, then dropped due to a bad sending unit (electric). As I recall it happened again later on and I added a mechanical oil pressure gauge.
