I have a 1975 280Z. I just replaced the starter and the regulator and it started up just fine. I went to turn it off and it kept running! I played with the key and it turned off. Could it be just coinsidence and maybe my ignition is wearing or my key is too worn... but the weird thing was when I took off the regulator it wasn't even plugged in.... the plug from the reg was taped next to the female plug. there were some wires taped into the female end but they did not connect to the male end at all..... can you help?? I am a beginner z person and am still learing thanks for your help....

Have gotten more info on the car. Yes he is really the original owner he has EVERYTHING with regard to paperwork that he bought the car new in 1971. He is an older fella with some other cars as well. He does have proof of under 80,000 original miles. NO RUST WHATSOEVER CAR CHECKS OUT CLEAN has a new mastercylinder, no dents in body has only been painted once since new and is the same color, cracked dash of course and a few guages don't work So of course I am going to buy it but now the big question is how much can I get for it after I fix the little things 1971 240z 77,934 ORIGINAL MILES !!!! any ideas out there on what I should sell it for?????
