  1. I put the above mentioned Tokico HP package of springs and struts on my 280z. I am very happy with the results. It clearly improved the cornering capability with much less body roll. The stock set-up was mushy at best. It lowered the car about 0.5 inch - looks better but not too low. The 280z was too high with the stock set-up. The 280Z was raised to meet the bumper height requirements of the time. There is a trade-off. Every bump is felt at the seat of pants. I have to drive very slowly over speed bumps, railroad tracks, and like obstacles. No problem, since I only drive the car to work on sunny Fridays and during nice weekends. I hope to Autocross this Spring/Summer and this setup should be a good compromise between road and race.

It must be difficult for a Canadian fan to watch southern/warm weather teams win the cup last three years. It is more interesting when the cup is contested by two teams with a strong fan base. I have followed the Capitals for all their years until I moved to Colorado. There are barely enough real fans to fill the MCI Center. I do not see how these teams make money. Ticket prices are very high and attendance is not all that great? By the way - a hockey bag and 2 sticks fit just right in the Z's hatch. I like to drive my Z to the rink for the Friday 6:00 am skate.

I feel your pain. It took 11 months to get the body work done to my 280Z. The work is excellent - rust cut out and new metal welded in. The shop specializes in English and Italian cars. If I had it to do over - I would look for a 'rust-free' car and go from there. My car was in good mechanical condition but rust in lower areas. Unless you can do your own body-work - a clean body is worth much more than good mechanicals.
