I had the same problem, and did the same test, the blades turned really easy when the engine was hot, and also the fan wasn't blowing hard enough when i rev'd the engine, so i replaced the fan clutch and all my problems were gone. Camilo

Make a search for an L28T from a 280ZX turbo, ebay its always a good source, or in junkyards in your area.... i wish i had that option in my country... good luck with your search and your project

Well i have found a NOS pump, but it's located in other town, i will check the hoses too, the car is mi daily driver but i only drive it for 40 minutes everyday and this time it's not enough for the car to fail, so i can deal with the problem until i have time and get the pump, once i change the pump and have checked the hoses and the rail, i'll let you know. I haven't found the original pump, so I fitted an homologated one, that works on german cars, definitely I will make a search for a pump of maximum 45psi. Thank you guys for your answers….

Does it count the 2 260Z 2+2 that my Dad gifted me when i was 7 years old, both red, one majorette and the oher one matchbox....? My Zx is the first one and hopefully not the last one, i purchased two years ago when i was 29....

The tank is fine and washed... i will take your suggestion and check the hoses, but it seems like there is no leak,altough the hose between the tank and the pump is the original one, and it is time to replace it!.... thanks

Hi guys, two years ago when i purchased my ZX i replaced the fuel pump, and apparently it was overpressured so i rebuilt the old one and installed it back. The old one worked for a while but it’s broken again, and I had to fit the new one again and made a long road trip in this mountainous country, after two hours the smell of gas coming out from the pump area was too bad and the car started to failed until it shut down, I waited for a half hour and then the car started and it ran fine. This happened twice, I don´t know what to do, the fuel pump is 95 psi but the pressure on the fuel rail is 36 as it should be so the FPR is fine, maybe the fuel pump pushes too hard and get overheated? Don’t know!!!... the car wasn’t overheated, or did not running rich, had no electrical problems….if i change the fuel pump will the problem be fixed or should i check something else?

I drive mine once in a month since i moved to Medellin and left the Datsun at my parents home in Bogotá, so i can drive it when i visit them. I could bring it here but the scolarship is not enough to pay the gas, that's why i have a 4x4 diesel as daily driver....

Cool!!!! i have 2 260Z 2+2 one is Matchbox and the other one is Majorette, they are all scratched, i have them since i was a kid, perhaps more than 25 five years ago, i can´t remember when my father gifted´em to me, those were my very first Zs....

Guys you are so lucky, you have too many places for finding pieces, the only chance i have here is ebay and the shipping is really expensive, and the other, is a guy who has parted out some ZXs but he asked for a used part too much money, he asked 1000 bucks for a pair of tail lights..... the only way i have right now is rebuilt..

Paintjob, leather seats, new suspension... and a stroker...
