Hi i own a 80 zx but i love the 260 and 280C actually i owned a 73 260C .... welcome to this club, what model is your Cedric ? i think there is no 430 owners in this club, as far as i know you are the first..ther´s a few owners in Australia (240c and 260c)..... make a search in the forums about the cedrics!!! http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19523&highlight=cedric

    I would check the pressure of the pump too, i had a similar problem, when i pushed hard the gas, cleaned everything and the problem remained, until i realized the pump was loosing pressure.... just an idea.....
  7. Mine are gold too, and my ZX is red, they look pretty fine...but BuDavid i would go for black cross with your silver 280.
  8. I love my 80 ZX, and the next year i´ll start the search for a 240Z, really hard to find in my country at a reasonable price but not imposible.......... Camilo

  10. Here in my country it is obligatory to carry a five pounds multipurpouse extinguisher in the car, it is a big can, but sometimes is not enough and the real problem is that the people don't know how to use it correctly.......

    ZX were built from 79 to 83.... so it can not be a Z...., it has to be a ZX, check the VIN!!! Camilo

    Here they are!! these keys are from a 73 Cedric, the one in the left is the ignition key, the one in the middle is the doors, gas cap and glove box key, and the other one was the key that we installed later on the gas door. Camilo

    My first Datsun was a 73 Cedric 330 GX 2600 (260C) and it has the rounded key... i still have one of them. Then i changed the gas cap and it had the square one ..... now the key of my ZX is completly different.. (by the way another thing that the Cedric shared with the Zs was the wood shift knob... awesome!!!) Camilo

    Vinyl roof that is what i meant for soft top and it was an option in their models with a whole package in their deluxe models... as far as i know, mine was a 1973 260c (Cedric 230 GX 2600) coupe vynil roof, with A/C, power windows, power electrical antenna, radio and casette player Clarion, analogue clock, two lighters, one in the front and a other one rear, remote trunk openner, leather/velvet seats, seat belts for the rear seats.....this is all i can remember, i´m gonna ask my dad maybe he remembers something else ...... I want so bad a new 260C........ good luck with your new project!!

  24. I love my 1980 zx is very reliable and comfortable, i'd have been the happiest kid in the world if my first car would have been a zx, though it was a 1973 260C (cedric 330 gx deluxe)......... do it either you buy it for your daughter or even for you!!!
