Wheel Alignment
I have a 1971 Datsun 240 Z. I have just installed new tires and had the alignment checked on the car. The mechanic says that the front end is out of alignment and that seems to be repairable. The problem seems that the rear end is also out of alignment. There does not appear to be any way to adjust the rear wheels. I suspect that this was not an issue in the 70's but I am not sure about that. Does anyone know of any way to correct the rear end alignment? Thanks for any help with this.

Finding & Fixing Exhaust Leaks into the Interior
Great write up! Thanks

Exhaust Leak
I just got my Z out for a drive through the mountains. With the driver's window down there is a strong odor from the exhaust. Any idea about where that might be coming from? I have inspected the ehaust system and it seems to be in good shape, not holes or breaks. Any ideas are welcomed.

Turn signals/hazard lights
I have a 71 240 Z (71/5). I replaced the dash wiring harness and have trouble with the turn signals and the hazard lights. The hazard flasher lights do not work. The turn signals only work if I turn the hazard switch to the on position. I have replaced the flasher. I don't hear the click when I turn the flasher switch to the on position. It seems also that the brake lights do not work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Lewis

Turn signals and flasher
I have a 71 240 Z in which I have replaced the wiring harness on the dash. The flashers do not work and the turn signals do not work when the flasher switch is turned to the on position. Can anyone give me an idea of the solution to this? Jim Lewis

Short in wiring harness
I have a 71 240Z with 160,00 miles. The cigarette liter shorted and had no fuse. The wire burned and went all the way through the wiring system. I have taken the car to a shop and they want $1500.00 to repair with a used wiring harness. I don't want to get rid of the car because it runs strong and has extra clean interior. I also don't feel I can spend $1500.00 on the car. If I do the work myself (I don't like to work on electrical) I know I will need to take out the dash to put a new wiring harness. Has anyone out there replaced a wiring harness? Where would I find a new harness, used or new? Complicated I know. Thanks for any thoughts. Jim
