280zx alt upgrade question
As I recall Dave designed the upgrade plug for the 240. Is it the same plug you have on your 280 ?

280z triple weber, msd, l28...wont start :(
You will need the spec for your particular cam. If you google schneider camshafts you will get the info. Do you know which cam it is ?

280z triple weber, msd, l28...wont start :(
Bear in mind your schneider cam wont have the same timing as the stock cam. Personally I'd get the engine running first before changing anything. Great believer in curing one problem at a time.

Even if your carbs are out of tune one of them will allow the engine to at least fire, so I would guess your problem is ignition timing. Check that the distributor is in correctly and go from there. Do you know what work the PO did? For instance, has he been messing with the cam timing or had the front engine cover off ?

Transmission rear oil seal
Put a large flat screwdriver across the diameter of the seal with the flat end inside right up to the inside edge of the seal, rest the other end against the tranny housing, give the screwdriver handle a sharp hand blow and it should pop out.

83 280zx Rear dif Mount
The 280zx does'nt have a diff mount as such. It is bolted thro the crossmember and has 3 insulators, 1 on the diff cover plate and 1 on each end of the crossmember.

Ball joints from MSA !
A larger machined steel grease reservoir has to be an improvement over the "tin-plate" cap of most ball-joints and how many times do you need to grease them anyway ? Not very often.

Ball joints from MSA !
All you needed to do, as you had clearance issues, was to fit blanking screws in place of the grease nipples as per OEM.

Help if you can.
As IdahoKid says the chances are that your tank is full of crap. That's probably why your pump is running all the time, trying to pump a reduced amount of fuel.

When you are using your colortune do you have the throttle shaft disconnected so that each carb is being set independantly ?

I'm new... Driving problems etc HELP!
As per my post 18, I'd stake my reputation that your problem is fuel starvation. As you are new to Z's you probably are not aware that a common problem is crud in the fuel tank blocking the outlet pipe to some extent. No quick fixes here. It's tank out and clean it out. If you have access to an airline try blowing back into the tank (via the fuel line) and then see what effect it has on the running of the engine, but don't assume you have solved the problem if it runs ok, it's only temporary.

I'm new... Driving problems etc HELP!
I would say this is a fuel delivery problem, the pump or the carbs, either way it sounds like you are not getting enough fuel into the engine. If it runs, it runs, and the only thing preventing it accelerating is the lack of extra fuel to the engine. Most engines will idle all day with a spoonful of petrol but will need more to run properly. BTW, are you sure you have electronic ignition?

whats that noise?
I have seen Fidanza flywheels advertised specifically for the 240z but they all appear to have the 9 bolt fixing whereas the 240 clutch is 6 bolt. Not sure whether the implied suggestion is to upgrade to the 9 bolt 240mm clutch.

whats that noise?
You're right, the Fidanza flywheel is for a 240mm clutch which means your 225mm friction disc is operating on a non machined surface on the inside edge. Don't know how you managed to fit the 225mm as the pressure plate on the 240mm has nine fixing holes as against a lesser number on the 225mm.
