btw the white 280z is my daily driver. thats just a white primer on it. not bad for my first time i guess.

heres the deal. I started this project in december of 04 not really knowing much about zs. im in this car about 5-6 thousand already in parts and other stuff. (bought an original dashboard in the factory box for $1500:shock:) im not gona write alot because the pictures will tell u more. my question is this thou. should a continue doing an all original restoration or go modified a little (bodykit, wing fender mirrors that stuff). basically me and my dad want to finish this project the cheapest way. Both 1/4 panels are gone. i got one side replacment and after sand blasting i see that i need the other side two. floor pans are gone (no suprise) and so is the rear hatch thing (also no suprise). we were thinking if we flare out the fenders it would be cheaper than buying replacments. (taking under consideration the labor involved). SO heres the pics. any comments, opinons, advice and judgments welcome.

yea i drive it as much as i can. very diffrent from what im use to (bmws and mercedes) but still has this thing to it where i love to drive it. as soon as i can i will thou. now that i got that fixed the water pump is going out. one of the downsides to zs. once u fix something another things seems to come up. gotta love these cars. always saomething to work on haha. The headers sound great thou. its super loud thou. probobly going to get a ticket cause the headers dont connect to the exhaust to well which is why most of the sound is coming from under me (where the headers meet the exhaust) and not from the exhaust its self. gotta weld that up before the feds hear it.

oh well it happens haha. im 18 so i can blame it on my lack of experiance haha. ill get better....i hope...

funny u mention that. my dad was tellin me its probobly something small and stupid. and it was. it would have helped if i would have pluged the 3 cylinder wires that were out on the other side haha. kinda weird that the car was able to idle on 3 cyls thou haha. i feel like an idiot....:nervous:

hmm how do i know which wire goes for what? is there a way to test which injector for what cylinder or is it just a guess? sorry if that a dumb question but i dont know.

first of all i have very little mecanical expericance (ok i lie, i dont have much at all). i have a 280z that is stock. wanted a little more prefomance so i installed headers. i started to install headers and put everything back went to start the car. this ridiculous poping noise at idle. i pressed the gas and it dies completely. that was yesterday and now today it wont even idle. i did remove all the intake, injectors and fuel rail to install the headers. maybe i didnt do something right when putting everything back? it wont even idle anymore and the sound coming out of the exhaust is this stupid poping noise. help please! id like to use the car tommrow.

welcome. yea msa has this thing for grabing peoples wallets. then again where else on the west coast can u buy new z parts. yea its a monopoly u can say. theres no compitition.

so i need an antenna switch so far. what are the buttons in the panel under the radio?I need the whole thing with the buttons. where can i get the panel? ebay? anyone got a parts car here?

haha i can live with out it. didnt work very good anyway haha.

My heater core is leaking and i dont really want to get the dash out yet so i ran the hose straight back into the block. the hose is at a pretty sharp angel but isnt kinked. could this be a prob ib the future thou? <img src="http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f60/bemmerguy714/IMG_0065.jpg"> bad pic but u get the idea.
