Electro-Plating Tailight Trim?
After seeing them in person, I was impressed. Perhaps they aren't good enough for a concours car, but they'd do for pretty much any other purpose. The chrome is shinier and nicer looking than Jim's pictures show. (Taking good pictures of chrome is a b!tch.) And they are better looking than 95% or more of the trim you will find out there these days.

left rear brake noixe
Roby, the brake noise could be any number of things, the best thing to do is to pull the drum and take a look. The other noise and vibration sounds like one or more bad u-joints. You car has 6 u-joints, 2 in the drive shaft, and also 2 in each halfshaft. I suspect a bad one in the right halfshaft.

Electro-Plating Tailight Trim?
Norm did the trim on the taillights on a7dz's orange car, which I saw in person at Canby. I can confirm the loss of detail in the black area. Still looked awfully nice though.

Where The !#@$ Do You Buy Head Bolts
Be sure to ask your Nissan dealer if they offer a club discount. Many do, and the savings can be considerable, often as much as 25-30%.

Color Coding on Euro Spec Springs
I can't remember the color coding off hand, but the longer of the two front springs (by 1/2" or so) goes on the right side.

Datsun Driving CANBY Fun June 14 & 15
Once again, a great get-together at Canby today. Great weather, and more cars than last year. We realized just prior to the awards that we hadn't seen or heard the promised dyno, but other than that, easily as good as promised. Met up with a bunch of friends, had a really good time. One of the best parts was the final 10 miles or so after we left the rest area. Eleven early Zs (one each 260Z and 280Z, the rest 240Zs) and a 350Z bringing up the rear caravaned our way to the fairgrounds. I was towards the end of the train, saw nothing but Zs in front of me, and more in my mirrors behind me. That's a sight that's hard to beat. As always, I get to visiting with friends and looking at cars, and I forget to take pictures. You'd think that I'd be reminded by the fact I have the camera hanging around my neck. But no, that doesn't seem to help. I did upload a few to the Gallery, but they aren't approved yet, probably since the 'approver' was also at Canby and so hasn't had time to get to work. But here's one just to whet your appetite.

Car won't start after tune-up
Then my first step would be to find a different cap to see if that makes a difference. Also verify that you have it properlyattached to the distributor. You haven't loosened th edistributor mount during this process, have you?

Car won't start after tune-up
So have you re-installed the original cap to test this?
