Rain Gutter/Drip Rail Stainless Trim "Clips"
@mayolivesIs your car a 2+2? The parts book lists drip rail clips for 2+2 models but does not show them in the illustration. They are not shown or listed for the 2 seater.

That welting trim is just pressed on. First the weather strip is glued on and has a thin rubber layer that goes over the pinch welded joint. Then the welting is pressed on over that rubber with the working part of the weather strip adjacent on the outer side. Here's a picture 0f my 7/70 car as I was disassembling it, and a few pictures of the welting.

Documenting My Original Yazaki Spark Plug Leads
There is 1971 240Z survivor currently on BAT that has original leads. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-128-2/ Looks like in 1971 the color of the markings was changed to white and the resistor symbol markings changed. Also on the #6 lead the plug boot was changed to angled. Here are a few zoomed cropped images.

Documenting My Original Yazaki Spark Plug Leads
I am lucky to have the original date coded Yazaki plug and coil leads on my 1970 240Z. So I've started this topic to discuss the details of these on S30 cars, I don't want to limit this to only early cars, as I'm interested in hearing about their evolution over the years. Edit, 6AUG2021, Replaced image and pdf drawing to reflect correct part numbers I have taken detailed measurements to create 3D cad models and a drawing complete with markings. To start here are a few pictures of mine, they are not pristine but the date code and markings can be seen. Here are a few images of the 3D cad model, created with Solid Edge version 2020: The descriptions and part numbers are from the 1973 JDM S30 Nissan parts microfiche. Interestingly the lengths quoted in the parts book are close but not exactly the same as my examples. The small triangle ahead of Yazaki, is actually their corporate symbol, I did my best to represent it as close to the original as I could. The text font I used was the closet I could find on my cad program, again close but not exact. https://www.yazaki-group.com/75th_en/history/mark/ I'm also attaching a drawing of these in pdf format. @Mike, I hope you don't mind that I poached the club logo and used it. Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Here's a preview of sheet 1 of the drawing: 22450-E4125(A) Yazaki Ignition Lead Set 1970 240Z.pdf

1970 HLS30-06521 Re-Restoration
I just revised the sketch of the leads in my previous post (#80) with more accurate lengths, the method I used with a fabric tape was not the way to go. I got much better, and repeatable numbers, holding the leads in a channel to carefully keep them straight. Anyone recognize the re-purposed holding device. I used this method so that I could get accurate measurements of the markings. This will all be in a new topic after I have time to finish with the measuring and cad work. Here is a preview of the number 3 lead. I will also be creating a 2D drawing with dimensions of the markings.

1970 HLS30-06521 Re-Restoration
Thanks Roo, I'm old school, so most of my cad work starts with a hand sketch. I sill have a drafting table in my home office. Using wire number three as an example the wire numbers are 5mm tall and 56mm center to center. Except where the YAZAKI 1970 markings are, for those the numbers are 73mm c/c. Number 3 appears 11 times, like this: 73-56-56-56-56-73-56-56-56-56

Yes, that pattern does repeat for the full length. The 3 YAZAKI 1970 only appears a couple of times (possibly 3 times on some wires). And the point in the pattern where it starts on each wire varies, as if it is cut from a spool for each number series. The longer \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ markings seem to correct the pattern for the intermittent name and date code markings. Here's a picture from the 1971 (HLS30-04684) with 21,000 mikes that sold for 310K last year on BAT, the markings are a lot brighter yellow than mine, Just noticed that it is missing one of the wires holders for the 1,2,3 leads. I wonder how much money was left on the table with this item missing. . Thanks again Dan, @240dkwfor the ones you sent me to complete my set.

Help with Front Bumper mount Area
Agreed, the top edge even has a V-groove to align on curved items like pipes. Mine's not a precision level but when I checked it on flat and angled surfaces the reading appears the same for both long sides.

That loop looked like a great trip(s). Lots of scenic drives along the coast in Washington. I've been through Oak Harbor many times on the way to Fidalgo Bay. In 2017 the Zed club I'm a member of, did a run from Vancouver BC down to Fort Casey going also through Oak Harbor. My drive was little longer as I live in Chilliwack.- Found old Z pictures. Here's my car in the summer of 1980, getting ready for the big brewery strike that didn't really materialize into much. The strike in the summer of 1978 lasted over four months. At least I wasn't thirsty that summer.- 1970 240Z survivor on Hemmings Auctions
The 1970 owners manual was probably first written for non-emissions cars and not updated as emission control items were mandated and added. Here is a snippet from a 1972 owners manual, it specifically mentions to not press or pump the accelerator pedal during starting, For reference here is a picture comparing my "non-emissions" engine (top) and the engine of of @Zeeguy62's car with emissions controls (grabbed from the Hemmings post). Interestingly, his car is has a VIN that is only 376 units earlier than mine.- Found old Z pictures. I’ll start!
I have no idea who she is, but I like @siteunseen's guess. I'm pretty sure the above pictures posted by @Carl Beckwere first posted here: http://www.the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13223&hilit=chilliwack+datsun There are quite few other cool old pictures on there as well.- 1970 240Z survivor on Hemmings Auctions

This is the dealership where I purchased my used '70 240Z in 1978, traded in a 610 sedan.- Hatch Emblems
Here is a snippet from the picture @SpeedRoo posted in another thread of his RH OEM fender, it has same four hole pattern. My fenders are also OEM replacements that I purchased in the early eighties from my local Datsun dealer for my first restoration. - Found old Z pictures. I’ll start!
